Default Project LS14-T

+

+

+

will =

So far the mods list includes:
-5.3 engine
-pp typhoon ls6 intake manifold w/billett fuel rails,
-psi valve springs
-built full-manual 700r4 tranny
-FR500 rims(9f, 10.5r)
-new plug wires
-race seats
-g-force harness'
-MR Track coilovers
-z32 4 piston calipers
-350z track model front 12.75" front rotors
-GTO oilpan
-Del West titanium int/ex valves
-6.0 heads

Will I need new manifolds going from the 5.3 heads tom the 6.0(D-port)?

I'm thinking of going with a gt4088 or a gt4296.....

This project is just starting so I will be nickle and dimed to death trying to get this to work.

Hopefully i will get the bulk of the work knocked out by next summer....

With the Typhoon ls6 style manifold you might need to run f-body or Corvette accessories. Have you test fitted it yet?

mmm that pic with the 315's is on a 17x10 with a high offset roughly +38. i dont know if the FR500's go that high but they might.

props on the setup but why a 5.3?

Wow, similar setup to my plans. Even down to the wheels, same sizes, styles and everything! I actually have a 6.0 that i'm putting into mine, just gonna get it running first off, and then use my truck manifolds and do a nice single setup. Cool to see someone else with such a similar setup. Good luck!

Just got mine for my S13 for $400.00. Now I can put that one together to get ready for the S14.5 LS1 swap!

Lately I upgraded the stock 4-piston brake-setup to the 300zx 12-piston set-up. Using 12.75" 350z track model rotors. Bought a compressor and air tools too.

im actually debating on using z28 brakes on my s14 since they are bigger than my 300zx brakes IMO.

what would you have to do to make that work? but there is a kit that puts the 350z rotors and uses the 300zxtt calipers i think is a 12 inch rotor

the physical rotor of the z28 comapred 2 30mm 300zx brakes is night and day. the z28's are larger. and you can use any brakes with a flat 1/2" or 1/4" bracket with tapped holes in it.
