I would like to see some times and a list of mods. Would be enteresting to see how much better the ls1 runs in lighter cars.

more like... who doesn't??? LOL.
Theres times posted in stickys on top of some of the threads. Most of them are times that don't come from 'real' daily drivers. Getting those times in the 9s and 10s are on drag radials which kinda suck on the street. The 11s are easy for the vetts and just a tad bit more difficult with the heavier fbodies. There are also threads on "how much will it handle in stock form" of which you'll find a lot of guys pushing 600hp on stock bottom ends.

Mods are 99 LS1 with 01 PCM.
LS6 intake, ported throttle body, Lunati 228 cam, Underdrive pulley, Vigilante converter, built tranny with vacuum modulator for 3-4 shift and shift kit, 411 rear end, BG Goodrich drag radials, speed density tuned, no MAF

I run 13.9`s but I only have a stock 140k mile 5.3L.........for now

i'll take it once i've got the nitrous and big cam installed. im sure it's in mid-high 12 territory right now, i've raced a SRT-10 truck, C5 vette, 06 GT, and put carlengths on all of them.. I've got full boltons, ls6 cam, 4:10's.

i took mine to the track and my first pass was the best at 12.63 @ 110 mph, granny shifting, and x-ing the traps at 6000rpmin only 3rd gear because of the 3.27's...i have a manual trans so i should have been in 4th obviously.

before spring gets here though, i'm having a friend minitub the car so i can put on my 28" 325/50/15 MT DR's and a built rearend with 4.56's and should also drop 50-100lbs depending on what else i do to the car. after that, i'm gonna do a big cam & a Victor Jr & hopefully have enough for heads too. then i'll need a new clutch & shifter, this stock crap heats up too fast and i hate the long throw of a stock shifter.

ultimately, 10's on pump is my goal, and to be able to drive the car frequently.

Well, my new forged boost 347 is going in my 67 firebird. With 15-17psi boost, a 9", caltracs, 10.5 tire, and a th400, it'll run 9's like a champ. Can't wait to do the conversion! Ran 12.34 @ 112 in the 99 NA with hotcam and LT's without tune, so 12's are nothing now-adays! *wink*

hey 67, got pics of your 'bird? awesome sig btw. My goals are 10.99 or faster in the 1/4, and 1.0g on the skidpad. I'm fabbing a chromoly triangulated 4-link at the moment, and getting ready to install my MS3 cam, 150 shot NX kit, ATS front spindles and C5 front brakes, and minitubs this winter. By spring I should be terrorizing the town again.
