supposed to be well under 3000. it has a stock 305 with headers, 600 edel carb junk intake and it gets it pretty good so it is light.

Nice looking car. But unless it is severely stripped inside, you might be surprised when you get it on a scale. My '63 Nova was right at 3000 and it was stripped. My guess would be 3300-3400. Should still make a great runner.

Cool!! I used to race a '79 Malibu wagon, they're basically the exact same length as the standard Malibu's, as I also had a 2 door that I raced. I had a .030 over 400 small block in the wagon, it surprised a lot of people on the streets. It got totaled on the way to the dragstrip one day when I got rear-ended from behind. Bob

Stock for now. I just want to see what it will run stock and then i will put a cam in, then port or get heads. It will be carbed with a victor jr. 350 turbo with at least 4000 stall. i need to get a better rear for it too.

Nice I like the malibu wagons, I`ve always wanted to make one a 2 door using 2 door malibu doors. They are the same length as an El Camino, they are a little longer than a 2/4 door standard malibu.

A buddy of my dads is sposed to be working on doing this 2 door wagon idea. Ill talk to him and see if he has any pics of the conversion.

Love the idea of the wagon, Im planning on getting an 80 malibu wagon and doing the ls1 / t56 swap this spring money permitting. Any links you can give a guy for swap parts?

I have seen pics of a couple 2 door malibu wagons. I measured it out and it is definently possible. I just don`t have the time/room/money to build one now. Mabey in a couple years.
