Default Conversion forum specifics/vehicle platform request

I'm not sure who I should direct this question/request at (moderators?), but here are my thoughts:

I have been visiting this site for over 5 years now, and although I haven't posted much - this site and it's users are the sole reason that I have started my LS1/T56 conversion into my '66 Elky.

My request is for this Conversion section: make vehicle platform specific sections for the most popular LSX conversions, for example:

67-69 Camaro conversions
55-57 (tri-five) conversions
Corvette conversions
240SX S13-S14 conversions
GM A-Body conversions
GM G-Body conversions
S10 conversions
RX-7 conversions

. . . those seem like the most posted about conversion vehicles, and some have already gathered their own "sticky" or "post all (fill-in) conversions here" threads. I was thinking that sections might help users looking for help/advice/tips & tricks, etc. for their specific platform.

Good idea? Crap idea?

If this comes to be - I would be more than willing to perform some of the busy work, just let me know.

the traitors(just kiddin) did make a ford and dodge forum, seems a LSX(and maybe ford and dodge engine) swap forum would make sense.

I dunno, I think there are many things that are common to most conversions. I think if you split them up people might miss out on something really useful. Maybe some post about a solution in the RX7 Forum that someone doing a Chevelle would find useful.

That's my thought, maybe it's because I have an oddball swap and would be left all alone if we divided everything...

Stu Cool - I was thinking the same thing as I was typing - there are many applications that have "across the board" implications. My suggestion would not do away with the general posting under the conversions section - just add the specific catagories. I was just thinking that it might help people who have tried-and-true, proven methods for specific vehicles that it may help those who are in question for their swap.

Just thought I'd throw the idea out there!

I like to help when I can and I don't have a meathod of reading posts but if you post in a spicific thread, I may overlook it and no help for you... Lots of things are across the bord things. I used this forum when not too many people were making the swap. most of the questions I had were across the bord questions. I guess some times have changed but I like the current subject layout.

I really don't want to create subforums in here, since you can search on terms like Chevelle, Malibu, Camino, and get most of the relevant hits you want.

I'm with Stu Cool and petroltherapy. Many many things crossover; fuel systems, cooling systems, mounts, electronics, and so-on.
