A turbo is a great muffler. The sts rear mount kits get rid of the muffler and the turbo takes its place. I was just curious about it because it sounded like it has some type of muffler on it after the turbo.

Ok we're back at work this week making a few upgrades on the car....
- We ordered the insulation for the fuel lines
- New Drag radials will be here tomorrow
- Fixed our bump steer issue, the car was toe-ing out very bad
- Started designing a fuel cooler, right now we're going to have an external one that you can use in the pits
- We pulled the trans lines and are moving them away from the fuel feed lines
- Pulled the oil pressure sender and its our 2nd killed sensor.
- New fuel tank vent coming

from what you're saying , you are having vaporlock issues??
have you thought of using a small surge tank up front thats fed by an electric pump??

and whats with the dead oil pressure sensors??

We think its a vapor problem, still unsure. We're working on a solution. Who knows whats up with the pressure sensors.

Vapor problem doesn't sound right unless your temps are high beyond comprehension. With fuel injection pressures, it should take quite alot of heat to create vapor, so it doesn't make sense to me. I know you didn't ask, but maybe it's pump cavitation.
A old friend of mine tunes Grant MCcrary's ( Not sure if you heard of him, but He's run in the 4.30's )big turbo Mustang. He's a really nice guy and would surely be willing to talk with you if you ever want to bounce ideas around. PM me if you like and I'll give you his ph#.

It most def is not a pump cavitation issue, but more likely a vapor issue. We pretty much got a handle on it.I do know who Grant is.In fact i was talking to Grant earlier today-damn nice guy.

I'm hoping with the changes Shawn and I are making we can get a handle on this new breed of fuel. We're not the only one having this problem either.

Got some more progress today, Shawn from VA Speed Donated a set of Magnum Trojan Rubber for the back, got them mounted today and they fit even better than the old ones. Found a couple of pics from Friday...

Area we need to trim with the grinder and a sanding wheel, need to just skim it back
