I dunno that would be cool but the new hemi motor is gaining alot of ground as far as aftermarket support. Alot of people are swapping that motor into their jeeps street rods etc. I would at least throw in a cam in the hemi and try it out before I tried to swap in an LSX.

If they made a Hemi that was an LS7 type set up that would be cool. Heck, why not make a version with the Viper motor in it right away! I prefer the sound of a V8 though over the UPS truck sounding Viper V10.
That Challanger is a sweet looking car though if they make it look like the concept car. That is if they make it, has there been any offical releases in regards to if it will be made or not?

the hemi that is going to come in the car is bad, assit's going to be a 6.0 or 6.2 and make 500hp.have you seen the hemi heads or intake, the heads are bigger than a ls7 head and the intake is the same design as the lsx intake.I think the hemi will give the lsx a run for it's money

The car is definately coming out, although I haven't heard anything about a 500hp version. What I do know is it's gonna be HEAVY! like 4000+ pounds. BTW how many new Hemi's out there run 9's, or 8's, or 7's? No further questions your honor. I like the LSX idea

I'm glad all of you have that kind of money. Say bye bye to the value of a collectors car. How many years do you think this is going to be produced? How many models do you think they'll make?

I could never justify pulling the top Hemi (aka: the 6.1L SRT-8 motor, or maybe even a 6.4L by the time it comes out?) out of the car to swap in an LSX motor even though I agree the LSX is a better package with strong aftermarket support. But, that car will also likely come in cheaper V6 and base 5.7L Hemi versions and maybe those models could be prime candidates for a little LS7/L92 swap action.

worst idea EVAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
1) the 6.1 hemis make 425 Hp stock
2) have displacement on demand, and get about 30mpg in the heavier Charger/300c
3) afew companies already offer 1000hp crate motors
4) huge aftermarket already
5) the motor is extremely responsive to bolt-ons, and cam swaps.
everyone here loves chevys, but swapping an lsx into everything isnt always the answer.

Ya i agree its a bad idea, its a 6.1L thats a nice sized motor with some cubes. Talk about weight, look at the Magnum SRT-8 its hitting in the 13's
bet you guys didn't know that did you... That motor is an awesome piece of work and im debating on which to get the camaro or the challenger??? I guess depends which is cheaper.

A 13.1 quarter
, just read a couple paragraphs down the page. Thats going to tear up almost every LS1 it comes across. Unless its modded. Im sorry but this motor is one that needs to stay in there.

i want a panther pink one
the problem with the Challangers is that they are talking about them being a 50k car with very limited production. stupid if you ask me. they should make V6 versions just like Ford does with the Mustang. pony car market is in an interesting state right now. the Mustang owns it completely right now, but in the near future there are going to be 2 large players entering the market.. we shall see what will happen.
