I will take a stab at the additional wiring port on the cable throttle body...
The cable throttle body has a requirement for Idle Air Control (IAC) whereas the DBW does not since the ECM can control air flow directly with the throttle blade.
Could the extra vacuum ports actually be the connections for the coolant flow that early TB’s had?

Wide Open, that makes some sense to me as to the Idle air control and I remember something about the coolant from some post a bit back.

At this point, I am wondering why people switched from DBW back to DBC. That being said, does anyone know where I could source a pedal assembly and wiring harness for an 02 8.1 vortec?
