Default Any front bracket/drives for alt. only?

Only want an alternator on the front of my LS1 in my t-bucket, along with waterpump. Might even go with an elect waterpump if it makes it easier. Anyone know of any? Any other ideas??

Factory F-Body mounting allows for just an alternator, water pump, and the tensioner mounted on the water pump assembly. I have my LS1/RX7 done this way.

It's a ~52" belt. The routing goes crank -> alternator -> under waterpump -> tensioner -> crank. Pretty simple.

stainless works makes an alternator relocation bracket which moves the alt. to the upper passenger side and uses the stock tensioner pulley and alternator. BMR makes an alternator only bracket that mounts in the stock location (lower driver side) but is a good alternative if you dont already have the stock alternator bracket.

i hate to hyjack but , does anyone know the part number for the alt bracket. i need one and i hate gm's website. ots as if unless you know the part number, you cant (at least i cant) find anyhting.

I would just call and ask about the part number for the alt bracket, seems like a pretty easy part to look up, then again I just go behind the counter at my chevy dealership and talk to my buddy so maybe I get the special treatment. Just ask for an alt bracket for anything off of a '99-'02 f-body (camaro, firebird).

Get an electric water pump and the BMR alt bracket then all you will have is just one short belt from the crank pulley to the alt, and you can ditch the whole serpintine belt system including the tensioners and brackets....nice and clean!
