Damn John! You are really making some progress! It is nice to see it come together.

I know am a starting to get irritated at the body shop for having my car so long. I stopped by and they are getting body lines and panel gap alignment set. The hood should be on now with the final tweaking left. They keep saying it will be painted in a two weeks! Ha. Probably will be lucky to have it back by June.

Looking good john I am really digging that radiator. A little encouragement with the Tanksinc sump, I had mine down to less than 2 gallons in the tank yesterday with 0 starvation even under hard acceleration. I probably should have cut a hole in the trunk as you did because for some reason me shimming down the front of the tank makes my gauge read empty when its half full. I can't figure that one out for the life of me.

Thankyou ,I'm just working on getting a neat , safe way of plumbing the pump and regulator , fittings.fittings fittings.I guess dropping the front of the tank is throwing off the geometry for the sending unit. I believe the harness is ready!I will be pulling the engine 1 last time to install a girdle fitting where the pickup bolts to the pump-it adds a bolt to the one making it 2 to hold the pickup tube in , also having the engine out will let me drill a nice clean hole / gromet for the harness without messing something up.JOHN

Default Great Project John!

I would like to do the same LS2 install on my 65 Chevelle (LS2 from an 06 or 07 gto?). Is the 65 frame the same as the 67?. Also, what are your thoughts on the gto LS2 front drive set up vs. the Vette? Sorry if this is a dumb question but i have just started to research this engine option. Thanks in advance. Al

Look through the a body threads at the top of this forum .there is a 65 olds up there as a reference to start with , I dont think the 65 is the same as a 66- 67 but i know the ls it will fit . you will need an oil pan . what is your budget, time frame ? the best advice is to spend time on this site , the info is there, and post specific questions to get the most answers. Al

Ps. i am enjoying your build...keep it coming!

progress is slow, had some flare fittings brazed to the 4l80e cooling line fittings so i could plumb out the rad & trans . just ordered some stainless line for the fuel line- the aluninum didnt work out that good, also ordered a dash insert from haneline for the guages.

Do you know which car the third frame mount (the tallest one) is from? I might need that extra height on my swap.

Thanks

RYU-make sure there is 2 body mounts that are not as deep as the rest -they go under the front seats-my kit didnt provide them as i learned the hard way.is that a haneline dash panel?as for the mounts , i tried every combo and ended up using the combo with the shorter mounts with a little spacing- none of the taller mounts worked out forone reason or another- where did you get the battery terminal blocks? thanks JOHN
