Im keepin my eye on this thread, if you could take pics as you install the 6.0 that would be great cause im starting on mine in spring. Im doing suspension and brakes over winter.

Good looking build cant wait to see it finished up. Also noticed your in clovis nm, I went to high school there but its been 4 years since ive been back. Car scene gotten any better?

Pretty much how it was back then, ricers abound. I do have two friends still hanging out and building cars, one with a blue ls1 gto, other has a 03 cobra black with red hood stripes. Well let me quit clogging up the thread.

Great Post, Im planning the same swap for my 71 Chevelle hopefully starting this spring/summer..Getting my 6.0/80E from a wrecked 2500hd van from work,got the paper work today from the lease company. Getting the whole van for $2125, an o3' with 54K on it. Can't wait...

If you are considering them check the stuff you are paying for when you get there. They advertised my motor as a 2005 35k mile complete pull out with all dbw. When I got home I discovered the pedal and black box was not included. Also the inventory tag said 2003 right on it. Just a heads up.

Made a little progress today. Installed ARP rod bolts uneventfully and bolted up my trans-dapt motor conversion plates. I found the particular sbc mounts that come with them are the short and wide variants and will not work with the trans-dapt BOP-SBC conversion frame mounts I have, so tall & narrow mounts will be necessary. I think the tall and narrows will be necessary for tie rod clearance anyhow so not a big deal.
