First impressions...LS7 FD3S

As you can see, it fits in there better than in an F Body, if the F Body were ever to have come with an LS7. Actually, it is an LS7 based shortblock I got from Scoggins that was set up for a wet sump. The car was saved from the crusher by me--it had a tiny amount of body damage and I thought it would be a shame to see it go to waste. I drove it around as a rotary for about 3 years. Then I met you guys and discovered the awesomeness of the LS motors. The swap was completed in just 4 months, with 2 months of that time sitting idle waiting for LS7 heads. I worked on it after work and it really wasn't hard.
This, on the other hand, was hard.

That's a 1976 280Z with a Chevy 383 and 2 Buick turbos. It took me 3 years and several configurations of the turbo plumbing to get it to work. It's pretty fast though.

how long will u go before u want to swap in a LSx into the Datsun?
with the turbos

Well as a matter of fact.....I'm having a difficult time passing emissions because of visible smoke. I may have to tear into the engine. If it's too much work, I may just get a Warhawk block since it has mounting points for a SBC, so I wouldn't have to change all that much. OK, quit dreaming
