External Fuel Pump Reccomendations

I need an external fuel pump for my swap, and am looking for reccomendations. Motor will be 375-400HP, so nothing fancy is required. I am looking at the AirTex (Master) #8248 (60-70GPH @100-125psi). What I don't like, is that it has no provision for adapting AN fittings; it only has 3/8" barb fittings. I would prefer at minimum some NPT fittings.

I read somewhere that a fuel pump from an '87 Ford E250 van will work as well. Any other OEM type external pumps?

Why are you looking at external pumps ?..

You can try the Aeromotive or Magmas line of pumps. Summit has them, just search on EFI External fuel pump.

I want to avoid fabricating a custom fuel tank. It is for a Porsche 914. Those pumps you mention are very expensive. The Ford van EFI pump is like $50.

Thats all I run in my 81 Z-28. Seems to work pretty good, only have 3500 miles on it though.

How loud is that pump?? Does it make a whirring sound or does it sound like a jackhammer?
