We are in trouble!!!!!!!
[This problem has been resolved by a very understanding seller that backs up his warranty with no arguements. Thanks to Lynn at Performance Auto in SC]
Well, we tried to fire our LS1/T56 swap today and discovered something bad. We hadn't realized that in shipping the sheetmetal cover on the computer was crushed in. Turns out there is not a lot of clearance between that cover and the pins on the circuit board. Arc, spark, toast. Ran to an automotive recycler before he closed and bought a used PCM out of a van for $90, and spent the last several hours swapping parts over to our PCM. No joy. Sad moment right now, feel like we have been stabbed in the chest.
We now need HELP! What is the fastest (within reasonable cost) way to get a PCM setup for an 02 F-body harness with the following done to it:
VATS disabled
Skip shift disabled P0803
Rear O2's disabled P0137, 138, 140, 141, 420, 157, 158, 160, 161, & 430
Air Pump disabled P0410, 412, 418, 1415, 1416
EGR? P0400, 401, 404, 405, & 1404
EVAP disabled P0440, 442, 443, 446, 449, 1441
Fuel tank pressure disabled P0452, 453
COT (catalyitic) overtemp delete
Fans disabled (using external fans) P0480, 481
T56 6speed
LS1, 02 F-Body
Rev limit at 6200rpm
Tires 225-70-14
Gear ratio 3.08
Thanks for any help/advice!

Fastest way is to take it to a local tuner w/ a bench connector for the PCM. Could also send it to a mail order tuner & tell him what you want done. However, this would take a little more time.

We are just north of the twin cities in MN. I don't know that the one we bought is going to be usefull. I have swapped a lot of parts between the two today in the hopes of saving the original PCM. At first, it looked like we may have just shorted a power supply, and I was hoping that if I could swap a few parts about, I would be able to get it running. Guess I was wrong. Should I try to put the parts back on the junkyard piece and plug it in? It is from a 00 Express van with a 4.3L, would it do anything when we hooked it up? I know it wouldn't run the car, and doesn't have VATS disabled, but would it at least turn on the SES and talk with an OBDII code reader?
We don't know any local tuners yet....

Not sure what you can do as a fix in a short time...
But if your just trying to fire it up and check all.. maybe someone in the area that has a PCM that has been flashed and setup in a simular setup as yours, will let you use it to fire it up for a day while you get a new PCM and Flashed.

BCZEE, we don't know anyone around here. Moved here from CA a few years back. We are in the 55079 zip code if anyone is offering a bit of help.
I got the used PCM put back together, and even though it is for a 4.3L V6, I hooked it up, but we did not bother trying to start it. We get the check engine light, and there are codes to be read, which is more than we had before. We cycled it a few times and the fuel pressure built right up to 58psi. Found a minor leak, and marked it with masking tape for now. Even with the minor leak, it only dropped to 52psi after 10 minutes. We feel al ittle better, but are still pretty bummed. We are also a bit upset that the fuse didn't blow on the PCM harness. Kinda thought this type of thing is what fuses are for. We also have a small coolant leak at the S&P adapter in the pass head. Didn't put teflon on the threads, that is the ground for the sensor! We are thinking of just running a bit of Bars Leak through it when we get it running and see if that seals it up. Suggestions welcome.
Anyone here happen to be a tuner type in the twin cities area???

This guy charges around $30 to reprogram and says he can do a one day turn. Maybe you could overnite it to him. I used him to rewire my factory harness - $300 including PCM reprogramming but I haven't received it back yet.

Hey, that is the closest to the stock size we are willing to go. They look right on the car, but are not launching pads by any stretch. The hardpart is using them to their fullest potential. The car needs a stocklike appearance from about 10 feet away. The traction bars are a common mod for the timeframe, so that is okay. This car is a lot of compromises, but was never intended to be a drag car.

Turns out the guy that we bought the engine and trans from has run into this problem before. He is programming a PCM for us and will mail it out to us as part of our warranty. We have been very, very happy with Performance Auto in SC. Very profesional, and apparently the free reprogram is supported under his warranty. We will call him first for the next swap.

We are up 35 from the cities so Foley is about an hour to 1 1/2 hour from here. We love it here. I grew up about 9 miles south of here, and when while I was in the COrps, I was at Camp Pendelton. I somehow conviced my CA wife to move to MN, and she LOVES it. There are a few weeks in February that she hates, but that is it. There is so much to do here.
