indeed i do ! ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
the car just came back from getting the rollcage installed, it has new wheels and tires ( used bfgoodrich dragradials for "testing" , and nitto NT01 for later ).
rear diff is in and functional as well as new coilovers ( car sits better now)
blower is hooked up and running .
i drove it with the blower hooked and boy does it tach up fast ( almost like you're in nutural) . the thing only puts out 4 to 5 psi and it roasts regular tires till third ( rear has 2.7 gears).
this week we'll take the car out for some final engine tunning and tweaking the suspension more .
the car pulls pretty good on the crappy road infront of the shop , we'll see how it does on a decent road. i should have some vids of that when we do it.
on a side note, the owner is getting some funny thoughts about a 350Z

its been a while since this thread has been updated, but here goes:
the blower engine and blower have been sold , and in its place is a 408 with about 11:1 compression , why you may ask? cause something like this might be sitting on the engine pretty soon![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
![](http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm294/majoosi/mustang/Image018.jpg)
a new fuel cell has been place in the trunk and is 95% done , just need to rig up a breather / vent for it .
the car now has a built th400 with a t-brake
.
should hve her up and running by this weekend and the direct port plumbed in a week or so.

thanks again for the kind words, if you like the space this car saved, wait till you hear about how much likter it is !!
we chose the auto for ease of instalation as well as consistancy when racing . you can't beat an auto with a trans brake.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
the read end is off a v8 mustang . we yet have to swap out the 2.7 gear in it

how much lighter is the LS than the 4G63T?? how much trans tunnel mods did you have to do to get it in there?? would a T56 fit?? it would be nice if you could have retained the 4WD somehow. Norris Designs are building a Evo with the motor mounted north south using skyline transmition components (he kept blowing up his very exspencive dog boxes). would be nice if the V8 would bolt upto it! ![Winky](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_wink.gif)
cheers

not sure exactly, but when the swap was done, the car had to be dropped about an inch! you have to remeber that the ls ia all alu. while the evo block is steele , and you have the added weight of the xfercase.
the tunnel had to be modified a bit . basically reshaped. i'm sure the t-56 can fit now, the only issue wit the tranny fitting was the bellhousing area.
as for the awd system, there were plans to install it ( check out the other thread , it has pics of the Ausi awd system that just bolts up to the tranny and oil pan) , but these were put on the back burner after a heated debate between the owner and another "hardcore" evo guy on how the car will never hook without AWD ; the plan now is to pass him on two wheels
kinda like what TNTaddict did to this guy :

oh and here's my bent frame stang against that "hardcore" guy's 600 awd hp evo on a dusty road .

shame about the 4WD. i cant get over how much room there is in the engine bay! you could run a couple of turbos in there! lol
i'll have a look for the original thread.
unfortunately the Evo world has its fair share of T**Ts! you should have seen what people said about Norris Designs car (still using 4G63 but with skyline drivetrain)! 'whats the point', 'its not an Evo any more'.....utter rubbish!
Cheers

i know what you mean, lucky for me , the owner just absolutly enjoys pissing people like that off! ![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
don't worry about the AWD , it will go on there in the not so distant future (i hope)

not that some evos out there aren't fast, some of them are VERY VERY fast and not just in a stright line. lol
is there any reason you went with the soild rear axel rather than a GTO IRS setup??

if the owner comes across a stock hood he will change the existing one. we went with a solid axle setup cause of the relative ease of instalation compared to the irs; the mustang rear end fit like a glove without any narrowing . plus those rearends are alot easier to come by as well as stronger than GTO setups.
and you can't beat a solid when it comes to drag racing .

nothing much happening right now, we're kinda busy with the stang and other things .
but on a positive note, the tank vent is finished and guage pods showed up today so we can finally mount the mess he calls his guage cluster on the roll cage and dash.
all thats left to fire this thing up right now is a TPS and IAC .
should start working on the direct port soon !
