Yeah great thread! Props! I had ot use it today to figure out what crossmember i needed to run. I figurd out someone sold me a ls1 t56 instead of a lt1 t56. So im back on the hunt. I did however do a lot of stuff differently. I bought a 2000 parts car and basically Used EVERYTHING from it and put it in my 96 WS6. A lot more work for sure but i am happy with it so far. Im hoping ot start it in the next few weeks!

I am actually looking at doing the same thing to my 96 TA a4. from what i have found you have to use a gm or hughes crank spacer.

For Auto use the Spacer on back of the LS curved

T56 use all the LS stuff.

Stock filter is still used. You can mount it on the rail, it would just look tacky. As long as its inline somewhere it will work.

Merv,

What is the "ballpark cost" of getting a wiring harness made up ?

I am thinking of going one of three ways: ( All accessories working ; A/C, Cruise Control, etc )

(1) V-6 to LS3

(2) LS1 to LS3

(3) LT1 to LS3

Thanks !

Dave

Question V6 to LS swap

Can anyone tell me what issues I might face converting from V6 to a LS (LQ4) 6.0 liter swap?

Running 3.8l v6 that I hate and its smoking and no power. So the LS swap seems to be the smart choice just not sure how much trouble its going to be to complete this job.

Thanks!

Hey Merv what cam should I choice to reach my 500hp goal with an LQ4 engine? All I want to do is add camshaft, need springs and roller trunions to the rocker arms and headers.

Is this too much to ask?

was looking at the .525 lift cams but lift along doesn't get you the horsepower.

Man do some digging around in the Dyno Section..lots of builds there.

As far as the Trunion thing that is over rated IMO.
