Great car. I love it. I am new to the forum, And one of the reasons I am here is to get some info on a project, I am starting. So hope you dont mind some questions. I just worked out a deal on a LS7 from a wrecked car. I want to install it in my 32 pro street truck. Can you let me know what it takes to get this motor to run in my ride. I can get the complete wiring harness, computer, oil system ETC. I want to run a turbo 400 or a 700R4 tranny. What will I run into on the tranny. Will the stock computer work, or should I just go with something aftermarket? Fab work for the install will be no problem. I have a friend who owns a chassis shop. What about the fuel system, I have fuel cell now mounted in the bed. I know, I am over looking something but any help would be much appreciated. Or if you dont mind. I can PM you a phone# or you shoot me yours so I can talk to you in more detail. Thanks.

Who makes the valve covers?

Thanks.

The CF valve covers are from CarbonFiberValveCovers.com, I think they advertise here?

Talk to Speartech, they can get you dialed in. They will remove all the extra garbage liks VATS, post cat O2's, etc.

Fuel system is a breeze, all you need is 58~60psi. I plumbed my system just like the factory which is dead-headed. The whole swap was incredibly easy. The biggest challenge that you will have is the headers. You really need 1 7/8" primaries and the exhaust port is unique to the LS7, so you'll most likely have to have a custom set made for your application... unless max performance from this motor isn't your goal.

what type of fuel pump & regulator did you use? Plus when you start the car do you use a conventional key? do you have a tach, does the wiring harness and computer come with some kind of display for the dash? hope you dont mind all the questions. Do you still have the O2 sensors before the cats then, since you installed the headers? Will speartech have what I need to run the automatic tranny? And last will speartech be able to utilize the factory computer with just a different harness?

Spent the morning setting the motor in and bolting all the suspension back in.

The paint is absolutely incredible. Pictures just do not capture it. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Now the front sheetmetal can be hung and the stripes put on the front. It's all downhill from here.

A man after my own heart. That is my ultimate goal, is to build a ls powered 69 camaro. One day I will. My buddies father is building one bad *** 69 dyncorp body camaro. it's a ls1 with a polished magnacharger. It's out to paint right now. The budget is ridiculous, it's in the 6 digit range.

The paint looks great, I'm a 18 year paint and body man.
