As for the hotwire harness, I'm probably blind but where is it on the site?

Lastly, for those who say to swap to a GM v6 PS pump pulley, do I do any v6 pulley? I'd like to get that pulley purchased as well so I can start this mock up process next month!
Which motor mounts are you using? With my setback mounts I have lots of clearance with the stock p/s pulley. I would set your engine in and check your clearance before swapping to the smaller pulley.

Good info, I have the setback plates as well. Now how difficult is it to remove and install the truck pulley while the engine is in the car?

I switched over to f-body accessories a while back, but I wanna say there was around an inch of clearance from the front of the pulley to the steering box.

I was going to use that oil pan but heard it's closer in dimesions to the hummer h3 oil pan and fromwhat i researched it hangs about an inch lower then then the crossmember. Of course it depends on the swap plates and if your car is lowered or not... my ride is dropped 1-2in depending on the springs i decide to use. My best candidate was the CTS-V oil pan fit, it sit even with the crossmember and plenty of clearance around it too using the transdapt 4595 1in setback plates, did have to notch the heater box a bit for coil clearance and relocate the alt though here is a pic of the oil pan:

relocated alt with speedway motors kit not totally satisfied with it yet though.... heard a truck alt will work better...

Your truck accessories should place the the alt on top so that shouldn't be an issueand if you remove the hvac box even better! I also had to modify the trans crossmember mount for the 4l65e trans.... I am going to redo that now considering i'm going with the t56. as for your motor mounts what trans you using?

standard mounting plates?? I'm no expert but it would seem about right. if your using a truck oil pan then it should be fine. to make it easier get some adjustable plates ie: dirty dingo etc.. i ordered some through transdapt and only ended up using the plates, they had to be grinded and washers added for clearance, used my stock clamshells. I think every gbody is different...

Those Setback Plates look to be a pain in the *** more than anything..have to do all that extra work to clear stuff.

I have the normal ones and everything fit in perfect..even the Headers.

The Round Coils have better clearance tho..I have the same Heat-only HVAC box.

Here's the best pic I have of the front where the Alternator is in the stock location..

What cross members are you guys running with the 4l80e's? I was looking at the gforce/summit but 270 is a little pricey. Ive heard people having issues with the iceman crossmember flexing.

ok...I read this whole thread in 2 days, and I feel kinda lost. Please help the village idiot!!

I am ready to get my car back out. It's got a 98' inspection sticker on it. Putting a turbo 6.0 with 4L80 into it. Thinking Speedtech headers? Or Virgina speed? with a 74mm turbo. TBSS intake I have sitting around and maybe a 215cc TFS head and custom cam.

I have a few sets of the truck accessories which seem to work correct..

I would like to use the 6.0 truck pan if possible, but the car sits on the ground and should be pulling nice wheelies on the street with my set up...

Is there a engine mount that makes use of the 6.0 truck pan nicely? Or should a pony up for a CTS-V pan? What year CTS-V? or hummer or the others that are on here. Get's confusing!

Thanks, I tried searching. I am just a lost soul and need guidance

My car

Not gonna happen, pan hangs too low if you think you will be pulling a few wheelies and fact that the car sits low. You would be busting that pan in no time.

Modify the truck pan, or CTS-V pan with 1in setback plates or Fbody pan with same plates. Fbody clears barely but I would notch a little for piece of mind.

Few said they only had about 1/8th in. clearance. Seems little too close for comfort in my opinion.
