The G-Body Swap Thread
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Once I get these last 6 or so fittings my fuel system is all accounted for.
like this? you may want to just run -8 supply if you don't already have a regulator as most have this as the small option for feed.
OK yea that's what I found too. Just wanted to double check.
Also, for anyone using a truck motor or anything similar with similar waterpump set up... I found cheap hoses for the heater core that G8 guys use to relocate theirs.
You just trim them a little and they fit great, basically then have a great 90 that brings them straight up off the waterpump for easier routing.
I'll post pics later but here's the part numbers in the meantime...

Still needs the end caps and holes and trim ring for the side exhaust. I think I'll at least finish them and see how they look once they are gloss black. Thoughts?

Also, cut apart a G8 GXP engine cover to make two fuel rail covers. Needs a lot of trimming and will be a charcoal grey when done to match the cold side but looks promising...

86T Type, column shift car, 4L80E/LS turbo combo. I am making up the shift linkage w/ the LOKAR shifter and shift position system, and have run into a 'snag".
The OEM v-6 linkage lever on the column is too close to the firewall to use the LOKAR shifter rod.
[Using the cable style is not an option.]
So far, I have the 2 rods, a spring, and the frame mount brkt. There's also a rubber grommet that is hard and distorted, and a plastic sleeve on 1 end of the rod.
My shop manual is only for the engine....No body stuff in it, so I'm not sure what I may be missing.
IE: Engine end support brkt, what goes in the frame brkt socket, etc.
Has anyone hooked up/modified the stock linkage to work? NE1 have a drawing/pic I can use?
TIA,

I got it home last night and pulled it out, and tried to fit it into the core support and it was way too wide.
I am exchanging it for this one (31.25" wide vs. 33.25" wide; confirmed by comparing it to the Be Cool rad I pulled out of the car):

Oh and for the love of God if you happen to have accidently ordered the 8-00008-LS radiator and need to exchange it be damn sure to tell the "tech" at Summit that it is one of the G-bodies listed on their site; and not some obscure G-body like my wagon (not listed) even if they share an identical core support. The "tech" I got was very rude about the matter and started arguing semantics - it really doesn't matter how much money you spend with a vendor as it is always a question of "what have you done for me lately?"
I may just start ordering more stuff off of Amazon.
