Default oil pan torque specs?

Anyone know the oil pan torque specs and the tightening pattern for a ls oil pan? Don't want to goof up something. Also I have a new gasket on the way, but it is not cheap. If the old one shows no obvious wear or imperfections, can it be reused?

The old gasket is a O-ring type and should be fine but if you are into it that far its really almost silly not to put a new one in imo. I believe the torque spec for the bigger oil pan bolts is 18 ft lbs and 106 in lbs for the smaller ones. I do not have the torque sequence handy however.

I just changed my oil pan today and it was 18 Ft. Lbs for the larger bolts, and 106 in Lbs for the two long small bolts.

Where are the two smaller bolts located on the pan? I had to only loosen mine and never actually pulled the pan and they were all 10mm so I'm not sure where the smaller ones are. Thanks.

rear 2 bolts on the pan.

since the gasket is rivited to the pan, just reuse it if its not damaged.

use 4 small dab's of RTV sealent where the front and rear covers meet with the pan/bottom of block

also make 100% SURE THE REAR OF THE PAN IS EVEN WITH THE BACK OF THE BLOCK

im gonna repeat that. the rear of the pan needs to be PERFECTLY STRAIGHT with the back of the engine. it can NOT stick past the rear of the engine.

the pan on the lsx motors are structural parts of the engine. the factory spec says its allowed to be within .25mm sticking FORWARD of the rear but NOT sticking over the back of the engine. reason being is the transmission sits perfectly flush with the oil pan, and if it sticks past the rear of the engine you can crack the pan when installing the transmission.
