Default Fuel Rail Connection

Does anybody make the quick connect fitting to plug into the 99+ fuel rail (besides GM)? I have hose going there now and would like to change to something more professional. Has anyone used the stock Vette braided line? The local parts guy came up with a part number but I don't know how long, whats on the other end, etc. It is $55 so not bad. He also came up with the 99+ fuel filter/regulator for about $52 but it also has the flared male pipe to attach to. I know its non adjustable but I think it could be used, any experience with these parts? S&p makes a couple different setups but they are $120, ouch. I really don't want to modify the fuel rail.
Thanks,

Nick this might be the same thing you have now, but I'ts what I'm going to use if I decide to not go with the billet fuel rails.

Kit is at the bottom of the page.

Most of the plain old auto parts stores I've been in now stock "repair" parts for the late model GM lines. I bought a stick of tubing that had 2 of the wierd flare ends. I cut it in half and then used a standard tubing/ferrule coupling to mate that to the 3/8 alum. fuel line.

For the vent/return (this is on a 99 FBody fuelrail), I used a regular old air line fitting - just like one you'd use on an air ratchet or any other air tool. BTW, I have the stock hoses that connect to the fuel rail, so these connections are to those lines. But, the parts stores also carry the various female fittings as well.

I used 2 of the Russell fuel line adaptors #639200 (see http://www.russellperformance.com/au...ve/index.html) and then connected a #6 braided hose to the fuel lines. Simple!

Coolvet,
I looked at the Russell website under every adapter fitting category and could not find part no. 639200. Are you sure this is correct? Maybe I am not looking in the right place (obviously). Help!

NickD, look under aluminium fuel lines and adaptors. It is there.

I called Purechoice Motorsports and ordered the single line since I have a later motor with no return at the fuel rail. I needed a longer line than they normally stock and they agreed to make it for me, should ship today! They also are setting up part numbers for the single line and custom lengths. I am still going to pursue finding the fitting for the next install as I could then make my own to any length. Thanks to all for the info and links, very group.

Coolvet,
I found the 639200 fitting, it's description is " -6 female swivel to 3/8 line". It says nothing about LS1 compatibility. Does it plug into the stock fuel rail? It also says it is for aluminum hard line. Did you install braided line on this fitting? I am confused
Thanks,
Nick

I spent $15 and just had a shop braze on a -5 & -6AN fitting to my dual inlet('97-'98 C5) fuel line.
