LSX oil pans
I shows on the right that the height is 6 3/4" tall from rail to lowest point (front of sump). But if you look to the left of the pic it says 6 3/4" from bottom of front to lowest point. Which is accurate?
I need to order my pan ASAP

I see three viable options, Fbody pan ($293), CTS-V ($243.68) or Modify Stock ($?).
Having a fabshop modify my pan may cost just as much as a new pan and it may also not work, so I'm X'ing that plan.
With the other two pans, can I modify my stock pick-up? Do I need a new dipstick and tube?

I would not recommend trying to modify anything as any mistake will cost you an engine.
also, i didnt find any good pics of the inside of the mast pan on this 17 page thread or during a search. anyone used one for autocross/hpde and seen any pressure drops?
ANy suggestions would be great

I'd think this would be very important for determining ground clearance.
At first glance, the CTS-V pan appears to be 1.75" deeper, but I bet the difference ends up being only about 3/4".
IF you use slightly longer rod bolts with the "Canton 13-270A - GM LS1 5 1/4” DEEP AL F-BODY RACE BAFFLED PAN" ----in this case, A1 rod bolts--you WILL NOT have clearance for the bolts. #$%^&*(--why would they not know this ?
My current SBC pan has 4 1/8" ground clearance and seems to be fine for clearance. The sump of the SBC pan is ~ 7.5" deep. Is it true (as stated in an earlier post in this thread) that the LS pan rail is 2" lower than on an SBC? If so, the GM Musclecar pan is too low for me.
Are my only options the Holley or Autocraft pan?
I'm leaning towards modifying mine. Way cheaper, almost free labor for me.
I have a 1st gen but I bet there isn't much difference dimensionally to a 2nd gen.
