Is it possible to find an oil pan with the sump in the front, and not the end/gearbox end?

Default ls3 oil pan

i dont see much info on a 2011 camaro oil pan.i have a 4 seater dune buggy with a 2001 5.3 truck motor.the truck oil pan fits great but just hangs down to low.the oil filter barely clears my wishbone running the length of the engine.i thought about going to a gto pan the front sump wouldnt be a problem it would probably be beneficial hill climbing.is the oil cooler removeable on the ls3?anyone have the dimensions?i was interested in the ls3 pan because it looks like i would gain some more oil filter clearance.i think if i run anything other than the truck or ls3 pan i will have to run a oil filter adapter, which one is recommended

Default Question ?

I had a CTS-V Oil pan on my Ls1/M3 swap, but swapped it for a stock Fbody one as the V was too low. Anyways the person I swapped pans with didn't have the windage and pickup tube, so I kept the V's to see if it would somehow work. Obviously the tray doesn't at all, but just wondering if there is a difference between the stock Fbody pickup tube "12558251" and the CTS-V one. I already have to order a new windage tray and figured might as well get a stock pickup tube as well.

But if there is no major difference I'll just use the V tube.

Default Lower bellhousing bolts? Moroso pan..

Hi - LS newb here...

My LSX is going into a '90 300zx. This swap is infamous for oil pan woes and pretty much guarantees a custom solution.

I don't tig alu, but I can hack mig steel I am probably going to start with the Moroso steel pan so I have something I can work with. I like to keep as much as possible 'in house', and I'm sure I will need to make more than a few adjustments. I will be adapting the stock 300zx 5spd me hopes.

I see that the moroso has no provisions for the lower bellhousing bolts. My question is -

If you are using the Moroso pan, are you comfortable with this?

I see that most aftermarket SBC bellhousing adapter plates have no provision for lower bolts so I'm thinking it's Ok but....

Oh, wanna trade my truck pan for a moroso?

Has anyone successfully chopped down an LH8 oilpan. I don't know what cutting almost 2 inches will do to the oil capacity....
Anyone with photos? I may be selling an oil pan....

Default Read forums til I fell asleep

How about this...?

Does the CTS-v pan come with the bleed valve in the pan for DoD/AFM?

Can the F-body or any other pre-2005 be drilled and tapped for the bleed valve?

My wife wants to keep the DoD on her stock 5.3 and I need a pan 1.5 inches shorter than a truck pan.

Default Fox body 6.0 Pan

I have searched this site for an answer but can't seem to find an answer.

Simple question, I am using a AJE K-member in a Foxbody Mustang. And I am swapping in a 6.0 stock block Truck motor. Will I need swap the oil pan or will the truck pan work?

This is not a DD. Only occaisonal street use. Lot's of strip time.

Surely someone has experience with this. Anyone?

The truck pan will hang to low in the AJE and Team Z k-member........use the f-body pan in the AJE k-member.......fits perfect...........The Team z your pretty much screwed and need the $500 Moroso pan and about a $200 oil filter relocation kit........You might be able to cut and weld the f-body pan to fit but now your useing less then 5.5 quarts of oil......not good....
