I sent you a pm, Jim... I'll get some pics of the doors and what I cut out to you later this week....

The doors are truly just the skin and the brace for the window to go up and down... EVERYTHING else has been cut out and I have sheetmetal door panels.

Yeah.. we went from a 9" spring in the rear to a 7" spring. We also took off the 275/60's and put on a set of Hoosier 26x8.5 tires (18115's)

After a rough few months of problems, I started back up on the build.

Stock floors underneath

Welded some steel on top of the bars, so I would have a flat surface for the carpet

Carpet starting to go in

Carpet in...

Hopefully, in a few months, I will FINALLY make some passes on this thing

Thanks man, it is amazing how one incident can change the whole timing on the car... We would have had it done in November for SCSN, but some personal problems and problems with some manufacturers and we are still not done and it took the wind out of our sails... none of us wanted to even look at the car, so it just sat there... LOL

Parts are finally starting to come in to replace the parts that were wrong and momentum is starting back up...

Had some problems with a particular engine part failure.. didn't even get 40 seconds of runtime with all brand new parts...

Don't really want to get too into it since the negotiations are still on going. Once I get a final answer on whether they will cover the damages, then I might say what happened.

It was definitely a manufacturer defect and not an assembly problem.

I can say it was picking up some serious steam on the dyno when it broke and I am more than confident that my car will be in the 8's when it is done.

Thanks, I am going to send my zues fasteners to get anodized black, so they blend into the carpet. I think I am going to carpet the door panels as well or I may wrap then in black vinyl, like I did the headliner... not sure yet. Won't worry about all that until we finish the car...

I just went to Home Depot and picked up a 6x12 roll of black indoor/outdoor carpet, it was only 59 cents a foot.. then I used headliner glue to glue it down. It has enough holding power to stay, but if I pull on it hard enough, it will come out, if I ever have to replace it.
