My current state of LS1/Nova conversion
If your talking about for the stock front clip. I bought them from BRP. www.brphotrods.com They fit nice just pricey. They could be made fairly easy.
This is the start of my header build for the 67. I had the flange higher when I started but when welded ended up lower. I think I'm going to cut the collector off and move higher. It's setting 3 inches from floor to top of collector right now. What is everyone's opinion: too low? Check out pics.

Mine are flush with the bottom of the trans pan, and I dont foresee any clearance issues.
Yours look pretty damn good to me!

Hey Jack and everyone! Just wanted to show you the progress. I studied your pictures before I started the build. I just can't wait to hear them roar! The passenger side sets higher so I'm going to move the drivers side up to match. I hope to finish both sides this weekend.

Hey Jack. Where are you going to send your headers too get them coated? I was also wondering where you were going to mount your ECM? I've seen them in the glove box, but not sure thats where I want to put it. Do you have any good wiring hiding spots? I should be getting my ECM and new cam back today. Sorry for all the questions just open for new ideas. Thanks Jamie.

As far as PCM mounting, I am using a painless extra long truck harness. It is so long that the PCM can literally be mounted under the back seat! I have a custom console in my car, I am considering hiding it under there or a front seat.

Ready to be coated, what do you think? Check out pics.

I am also very surprised by your O2 locations, I had to put mine on the outside.
I would say a job well done!
Jack
Thanks Jack. I cheated on 2 and 4 they are pieced together. I just ground the welds down and smoothed out with die grinder.
For the 02 sensors I don't know if running the six speed makes a difference. There was plenty of room to the inside. Good luck finishing yours and would like to see pics. Jamie

Nicely done though.I need to put mine back in to do the sensor bungs and weld up the collector flanges, but that won't be for a while as the engine is on the stand getting put back together and I need to touch up the firewall after scratching it a few times.
Nice thing with mine is they come right out the bottom. No engine lifting, starter removal or anything else.
frickin cam won't be here till the end of the month.
So I can't put her back together yet.

Does anyone know what the difference between the 5.7 (12581209)& 6.0 (12599397) GTO oil pan is? the part numbers are different. thanks derrick
