No, I still have to finish welding the collectors and flanges. I ran out of gas, and have been sorta lazy(read as playing video games with my 10 year old). I am not in a huge rush, as I am waiting on some more money to grow on the tree out back... I did get my new fuel tank, now I just have to trim the sump to fit it, and get it tig welded. I think I am also going to go ahead and strip the interior and start the wiring nightmare!

Nice job on the headers!!

The car I built them on - with a stock clip - we used a 4L60E with - and I don't think LT's would have been possible for lack of room between the bellhousing and subframe mounts. I just did mid-lengths.

Looks great so far!

Sounds good, I'm trying to make this years super chevy show. But have a long ways to go. I've got the chevy II completely stripped apart. Need to do a little body work to get ready for paint. Just trying to get all the mechanics done first. I've had this car for four years and have been buying parts and pieces as I could to get ready for the build. Still feeling a $$$$$ crunch. It's always the little things. Ha! Ha! Jamie

Hey, Duane just wondering if you have had a chance to try out the caltracs or if you just installed them? I didn't know if it changed the ride and how much they helped on traction? Do you know a good place to pick a set up? Jamie

I have yet to try them. Will they affect ride height? shouldn't at all.

As far as where to find them, try Stevenovasite.com in the sales area, or calvertracing.com.

****, I started running the wiring for mine, mocked it up on the engine, made some adjustments here and there and now need to think about doing some cutting and soldering. This won't happen till next week sometime. Need to order a trans harness and figure out a little bit more on what goes were, then its on.

I still have to buy some more stuff befroe I can try to fire it up, radiator, shifter, Drive shaft... anyone know if the ooutput shaft for the 4L60e is the same as a T350's etc..... GM fine splines?

Jamie,

Actually did not get to the wiring...got side tracked on getting the tank sumped, finishing the headers, shipping them to Jet-Hot(yeah, followed your lead on that one), and painting the engine bay. I will eventually get to the wiring in the next couple of weeks.

Duane,

I am pretty sure the 4l60E yoke is different spline then the Th350, but I could be wrong. I ordered a custom built drive shaft from Performance Shaft Technologies(PST). I paid 289 for a new yoke, shaft and u joints. Bonus, they ship FREE to active duty military! They actually made my shaft with the wrong U joint in the rear, I called them, they sent ups to pick it up, and sent me another shaft within a week. Despite the mistake, their customer service was top notch, and I honestly can not complain.

Again, Jack, you come out to save the day for me by recommending another awesome vendor. I might as well just send you a case of now. I'll check them out. So let me ask you this. What are you doing for a radiator, I'm thinking of just using a crossflow from Jegs/Summit for 250 bucks or so.

Summit universal with Zirgo 3000 CFM fan.....Only real obstacle is inlet/outlet is larger than the factory engine inlet/outlet. Makes finding hoses a bit tuff.

On the driveshaft, I bought a steel replacement good to 400 RWHP, aluminum will cost more, but if you call, they will give you quote over the phone.

My original PG shaft slid right into my 4l60 no problem. It is too long though.

Ya, I just saw on PST driveshafts site, said T350, 700R4 and 4L60e;s are 27 spline. 4L80e's and T400s are 30 spline and different diameter yokes.
