You made more progress than I did, I spent 3 hours at the parts store trying to find an upper radiator hose that will work with my limited space....NO Dice on that one!

The wiring kit is a Painless kit, was new in box when I got the car, so figured I'd use it. 18 curcuit kit that has worked nicely. Ya, got some progress done, lots of wiring accomplished.
Did you ever get a chance to run the fuel system yet? Still wondering how noisey that inline pump is.

Everything is wired, but I have not primed the system yet. I got a bit lazy this weekend, and did not do anything. Hopefully next weekend I will get everything finished up and started.

Got some done stuff done this weekend. Not too much since I kinda ran outta the ol bank funds for the Nova this month already. Picked up a red top Optima battery, and now have power throughout the car. Did some more "car" wiring, dash components, relays for the harness, wipers etc... Got the power booster mounted and hooked up, brakelines ran, with exception of front right, will wait till the inner fenders come in to do that. The engine cracks over under power , but need a PCM still, which is on order, fuel system and cooling system. Enjoy.

been a long time since I updated...........but here goes. Engine runs great, fires up, trans hooks, torque convertor snaps good. I ended up running dual trans convertors from info I got here, seem to keep the fluid cool from what I've done of running the engine in the driveway and loading the tranny/running throught gears. I had the standard 25 inch wide Summit radiator installed but found a dual flex lite fan set up for 100 bucks, brand new that was 26 inches wide so I sold the 25 inch for a 40 buck loss, bought a 200 buck Be Cool 28" for and extra 80 bucks and saved 160 on a fan setup. So I ended up saving ................ screw it, I got a bigger fan/rad and saved a few bucks. Fans kick on great, engine runs cool.
Now all I need is, throttle/cable, borgeson joint for steering, some inlet ducting and a filter.

Why 2 trans coolers? Do you have any more pics (driver's side around steering shaft and mounts) and details on making your headers? Your rad hoses look like they fit pretty good - can you provide p/n's? Thanks. -Bob
I ran two coolers, since 1. its the only cooling source 2. its over kill 3. I have 3200 stall 2.2 str convertor and 4. its overkill.
I do have some more pictures of the headers and what I used plus mounts etc.....
I have a part numebr for the upper hose that I'll post, lower was one I found and cut.... will post more later.
You probably already know about them but I just want to make sure.S&S headers list a set of ls1 headers for after market clip in chevy II now .Have'nt seen them on a car but they look pretty good.They are long tubes,The part # is 5207 if anyone needs it.You can get them plain or coated.Anyone used these or have any feedback on them?

this is my curreny state.
I got a set of ls7 manifolds that will have to face up and then exit to the fender wells. I am just not sure i like the way they look.
I like the header kit that was posted from speedway and I am thinking of building a set.
Also the 6.0 liter intake is temporary. It will end up with a vic jr later on. this is a drag car and is very light with fiberglass doors, trunk and front cap with lexxan windows.
Where have you all bought your front rack an pinions from? I am now thinking about changing that **** up from the factory steering.
What was the cost of changing to rack and pinion ? I dont want power steering either.

BBpanel PM'd me asking for pictures of the S&S headers installed. I will attach a few pictures here and if anyone wants something specific please let me know. It may take a few days to get the specific picts but I will get them. My opinion of the headers is that they are of very good quality, manufactured well, and fit decently. They are VERY tight on the lower control arms and extrememly tight on the starter. Expect some serious MF'ing when trying to install the starter if the headers are already bolted on. I used header studs and they made my life a little easier. They also hang VERY low, my car is sitting on 2" drop spindles and the headers are 3" off the ground, maybe less. IF anyone has any specific questions please let me know. Thanks!
