Default Help Needed With a Connector

I am putting a 2004 LS1 from a GTO into a 99 Miata. I bought the engine and trans with the wiring harness however I'm having a issue with this connector. It is located in the harness near the mass air flow sensor and has a 8 plug end on it. It only has 4 wires going into it. I cant for the life of me figure out what its for or where it goes. I have attached a photo showing the connector and the wires. If anyone can help me I would greatly apreciate it.

Thanks

looks to me like it has 6 wires going to it not 4. Not familure with that harness, so i cant help much. All i know is that its not on a camaro harness, so it must be something specific to gto's or later engines. Could it be an ABS plug? weird, good luck.

Oh sorry about that it does have 6 wires. My Bad. I don't think its ABS because its in the engine harness. It would be on the driver's side of the car though. I am really stumped on this one.

Hi, looks like a connector that would have went to the chassis loom. Is this it? If it is the one, I found it useful to use some of the wires for my 2004 gto conversion into a Mazda RX7. Let me know if there are any others you need.

Thought I'd add my table of what I used from that plug (if it's the same one)

Get a subscription to something like Alldata DIY.com. Takes the guesswork out of it. If youre doing your own wiring, it's worth it not to have to wait for replies. It was well worth the $25 to keep me from scratching my head all the time. Good luck. Jim

Yeah thats the wire. I went to the pontiac dealer and looked at a GTO. They were getting a bit anoyed with me looking under the hood so I left. I cant find anything on ALLDATA showing that connector. I am boggled by this thing.

Yeah the wire colors match but the connector is different. Thanks for the tip. I may need to get some more help from you as I am putting this motor in a Mazda as well. Thanks

No Problem, glad to help. The only difference is that my fd is a rhd but all the wires from the GTO will be the same.

Default wire

It's not to the mass airflow sensor, one end goes into the left side valve cover the other end drops down and is routed along the radiator. I'll see if I can get a better look in the am to see what it goes to. I have an 04 Goat, btw the one in the picture is 05 or newer so it may be different?

It is powers for the coils and injectors, as well as the E-fan and A/C control. I think there may be one or 2 other wires in there, but grab an OHM Meter, or tear open the harness and start tracing.

Did anyone find out what connector this is? I am in the same boat trying to find out what this is, I went through both service manual books on the 2004 GTO and couldnt find this connector, the closest I came was that it appears to be the Powertrain Harness to Engine Main Harness. Although the color codes are very simular to C101 my wiring slightly varies from what is shown above, I have 6 wires all on one end with the very end ones empty on each row. My color coding also varies
1st Row -- 2nd Row
Yellow --Blk/Red
Red -----Pnk/Blu
LT Grn --Drk Grn

Anyone with Alldata or any information on this would be extremely helpful.

Being we are on the subject of this connector, I am running the A4 trans, although I do not have the Grey/Blue wire for Park Nuetral in my harness, But I do have the Yellow for A/T Nuetral Signal, are either of these wires needed for anything? Case Learn?
