The weight will be closer to 1700 lbs. The prototype I hear will have the LS7 which should be even more interesting.

Default Me Too!!

I too would like to see it hook up. A group of us are planning a trip to Detroit Michigan to Visit the factory of Deronda and the Superlite Roaster this summer.

Visually the Dironda doesn't do it for me too much. I've been keeping my eye on the progress of the Superlight Roadster however and it looks very promising. I hadn't seen pics with the proposed bodywork yet, but it looks like they are on the right track. I honestly can't understand why there seems to be so much interest in the Superlight coupe and virtualy nil on the roadster on their forum since it looks like it'd be both more fun and cheaper than the coupe.

I see lots of interest in the Superlite Roadster at www.exocars.net.

With the production of the Ariel Atom in the USA, stopped (for the moment). Once the Superlite Roadster is available April May and we get some "real" pictures and numbers I think the interest will increase 10 fold.

Here is the link to USA Deronda site.

A. Cool people that like to go fast as hell in the lightest car possible.

B. Guys that want the wind in their hair, but are too scared to ride bikes.

The Deronda from my understanding will be around 50k for roller less engine and trans. Do not hold me to that price. Definately not for the penny pincher, I would say for the more wealth part of society. The manufacture is looking to compete with the Ariel Atom at 55k for the base model with stock 200 hp engine.

The Superlite Roadster is at 16k for the roller less engine and trans. It is something I am looking at.

Hmm... sounds good. This would be a cheaper alternative to the gtm supercar.

I am a big fan of the GTM, but I needed to scale back the $ amount, especially since my 4th child is on his or her way.

ehh whatever.. I dont think anyone is taking their project car out in snow storms anyway. Lol but I can remember a time I got stuck in a spring thunderstorm down in miami driving a lotus.. and we were glad to have the roof in the trunk after getting soaked. With no roof or doors.. things could get interesting if you get hit with some sudden rain

So how much is the superlight roadster supposed to weigh?
