s-10 v8 conversion
Ok So I have a 2k dime and a 2k2 5.3 tahoe motor for it. I was thinking about swapping out the intake to a LS6 style. Does anyone know the difference( other than obvious cosmetics) between what power differences they make? I am putting some headers, ram air, 8.8 mm wires and some flows as well as eliminating emisions on it. Anyone got anymore cheap upgrades while its out of the truck waiting for a wiring harness to be made. Not looking for anything to serious just enough to whoop most imports

Have you had previous experience with an s series swap. If no, then I highly suggest you look up our 80 page s10 ls1ers thread. There are many of us here including me who have put up a ton of pictures part numbers and what does and does not fit. Grab you a 24 pack and sit back and start reading everything you need to know that covers most every aspect of the install is in there. Truck intake and accessories will work. It's tight though. Truck pan is a no go.

Hows this look for $ 70? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/LS1-C...spagenameZWDVW
I hope you know what your getting into with this swap. it is fairly easy to do the swap, just costs an arm and a leg to actually do it.

Yeah I am getting a little over budget already but I did pick up the motor and trans pretty cheap. I think im going to tackle the wiring myself rather that pay my left nut. Any one know where i can pick up this Hummer pan cheap? And What kind of horspower gains can I expect with this Z06 Cam?

3.5 does not = LS-x motors
H3 Alpha = 5.3
At the top of the conversions page, there's a "sticky" on oil pans:
Ask your parts guy about these numbers:
Oil pan: 12614821
Oil pump pickup: 12608593
Windage tray: 12611129
Dipstick tube: 12612015
Dipstick: 12603506
