Great too see the car getting notice Andrew. Well worth it for the time youve put in it.

I had to go over my notes again to double check the weight. Check out post number 262. Looks like without driver the car was about 3750lbs.
I am looking into getting a little more weight out of the car. I have a rather heavy subwoofer box sittin under the rear package tray. That box and the sub weight about 75 pounds. There seem to be some really nice shallow mount subwoofers. I'd like to see if I can maybe install a pair of 10s under the rear seat. Anyone have any experience with this or comments?

Off the top of my head I can think of a few differences between our cars that really make a difference in weight.
My transmission is about 130 pounds less than yours. Aluminum block is 80 pounds less than iron. Your turbo hardware ads another 50 pounds, I would guess. My wheels are very light for their size.
I have to admit that I am jealous of your power level!

I only made 3 passes at that drag strip and its very possible that I lifted. Generally if I loose traction at the light I will abort the whole run. No sense in beating the car up when there is no chance of posting a good time.
I am sure that our cars are very different animals in terms of power delivery. One nice thing about the Richmond trans is that 3rd and 4th gears are very close. I love the way it pulls in those gears. I've never had a performance car with an automatic, so I can't even imagine how your car would drive.

I really haven't had much to report up until now. Yesterday I was looking around on www.chevelles.com, a member posted that he just had his Doug Nash 4+1 converted to dog-ring engagement by Liberty. This got me thinking. The old Doug Nash is very similar to my Richmond 6 spd. I have never been very pleased with the way my transmission shifts. I have dealt with Liberty before on a dog-rign T56 transmission for my RX7, and I was very pleased with the results. So after talking it over with Paul, I decided to get my Richmond done. Gears 1-4 will get faceplated and 5th and 6th will remain synchronized. No need to have dog-rings on cruising gears. Total price will be about $800. I am pretty excited!

stupid question but what type of fitting did you use on the p/s pressure line into the p/s pump. I have tried some typical o-ring AN fittings but it seams the threads are real close to the C5 pulley. any advice and or pics would help me out in a big way..thanks
