5.3 ino my 97 swb???
i have a 97 swb chevy truck with a 5.7 and auto trans.
my question is
i purchased a complete, i mean complete 2006 motor and trans, for my 97 and i have the motor mounts that i need for the swap it was part of the motor and trans purchase etc. i also have gotten the return style fuel rails and the cable driven TB.
im really ready to set the motor in place.:hyper2:
but i just need to know if i could just use the 2006 5.3 harness and just zip tie or whatever my 97 harness and just set it out of the way under the hood?
the 97 truck is unmolested never been jacked with as far as wiring harness goes, i have purchased a serv# 12200411 ecm. but never converted to the 411 ecm.
would it be a better option to convert over to the 411, so i could use my 97 wiring harness to run the motor and tranny of the 2006 5.3?
or could i just use the 2006 complete motor, trans, and wiring and splice in whats needed?
thanks
Ed

06 5.3 harness ships off to spear tech he cuts out whats not needed and he adds the tps and iac wires. i swap out my 12200411 ecm for a 04 gto ecm (243) and by a cable driven TB and a return style fuel rail and and its done.
anything that i left out i would be greatly appreciate if you could please help me out with the info thats needed!!
