1/2 NPT to m12x1.50 fitting for water temp?
I have the autometer water temp gauge and it has a 1/2 npt fitting on it and the hole on the pass side head is m12x1.50. Am i correct? does anyone have a link to a website or a part# for one? Thanks

I took a 12Mx1.50 bolt and drilled it out/tapped it to the NPT fitting. It took me two tries, but the bolts were only a buck or so each from NAPA and a buddy already had the correct tap....

I don't see what you need, but maybe I'm not understanding either. Check on the other pages in the is section, they have lots of adapters. If that fails check www.mcmaster-carr.com they have all kinds of stuff, sometimes tough to find though in the massive catalog.

I was looking for the same part when I found what I needed for my electric autometer temp gauge already on the engine. I had a 3 pin sender on the drivers head near the front of the engine. Only 2 wires were being used and they were going to the pcm. The third green wire was not being used and I found out that it could be used to feed the autometer gauge. I used an old 2 pin sender just as a plug for the pass head.
If you are not so lucky, I heard egauges has an adapter.
Good luck.

I did the same thing. Oil pressure was also a trick. Just broke the stock sending unit and gutted all the plastic and then tapped it for the autometer sending unit.

Here is the gauge i have
http://www.autometer.com/cat_gaugede...id=3080&sid=13
If you look on the left it comes with 1/2 npt adaptor/fitting. THis is why i need 1/2 to m12x1.50 adaptor.

If you are not in a hurry order this #2277 Autometer. Take it to ANY machine shop or even a plumber will have a 1/2" NPT tap. Tap it out. Plenty of meat on this fitting. You could tap the cylinder head to 1/2" NPT also but I wouldn't do that if you want to swap to better heads later. http://www.autometer.com/cat_accesso...il.aspx?vid=61

Are you sure the 1/2" NPT sender will go in to the hole in the cylinderhead. 1/2" NPT is larger than M12 in diameter. M12 is just under 1/2". NPT 1/2" is more like 3/4" in threaddiameter.

i just did my autometer mechanical temp gauge and i had to get a 3/8" npt adapter fitting. then i had to drill out to factory hole in the head to 37/64" and tap it to 3/8" npt. it was easy.

I just had to do mine with a VDO Setup, the setup came with a 1/8NPT sender &1/4, 3/8, & 1/2 NPT adapters, tried the Autometer adapter but couldnt even get the sender in the adapter, so that got returned and went down and picked up a 1/4NPT Tap for $8, good to go now.

Street & Performance has the adapters you need, both oil pres. and water
they have the water adapters up to 1/2" npt, which is what i used-just screw in the block, and then screw in your fiting(their in alum., so be careful when you tighten it)
