Well the procharger is coming off, and the Twin Turbo's are going on. I'm going to sell my Procharger setup, headers, maybe even the injectors and tune. If anyone is interested, PM me, details of the parts are all in this thread. -make an offer-.

Car is looking great, how much did it cost to race at Mission and how much track time do you get? I've spent a large chunk of this evening looking at autocrossing and road course stuff here in the lower mainland but can't find any prices. I've heard that there are apparently races that happen in pitt meadows for $40 and somewhere else for $25.

The Pitt Meadows stuff is at the airport and is of the "autocross" variety. Around a course made of cones, you get 3 attempts at it, best time wins. I prefer road course action, which is way faster, and more seat time. If you are interested, I will be at mission on saturday June 12th, competing in the solosprint class. Typically, for the day you pay $90. That usually gets you 3 20minute sessions. You rent a transponder($30),(that red box in place of my front license plate) which operates a timing device on track. In addition to that you need a race license, which was $55, and safety gear and a roll bar. It's the way to go if you want to go fast, but aren't ready to go wheel to wheel racing. You race against the clock, not each other. There is no passing on the corners, and you must be waved by by the slower car in order to pass.

The M1 Procharger head unit had a bearing failure which in turn destroyed the impeller. I priced out replacement parts for it from aftermarket sources and it varied from $539 to $902 for the parts alone. I have a local guy who wants to buy my setup, but I haven't come up with a price for him as I don't have a clue as to what to charge.

I don't remember the backspacing off hand. They are BOSS 338's 18" Fairly inexpensive rims. The offset is 1/4 to 1/2 " too wide. I had to roll my fender lips to stop the tires from rubbing.

I'm assembling, or trying to assemble, the new motor. I got a Scat 4" stroker with H beam rods and -32cc dish racetec forged pistons. I was hanging the rods on the pistons when I ran into a snag. Has anyone ever seen this? The small end of the rod hits the underside of the piston. I measured and found that the clearance between the piston pin and the piston is the same or smaller than the size of the end of the rod. Weird huh? I have calls in to Scat and Racetec to figure this out. I will report back with the findings. Just goes to show that even when you buy all your parts from one place that are supposed to work together without machining, well, they don't. Measure everything!!! FYI there is supposed to be .050" clearance between the rod end and piston.

It's a sweet combo. I can't wait to see if I will be able to light up my tires at highway speed! Update on the piston issue... Racetec and Scat have been great! I have been speaking to both of them and am very satisfied with the service thus far. I'll be sending my piston's back today, (no expense to me) and really appreciate the fact that good customer service isn't dead!
