Wont that prevent the seatbelt from locking upon deceleration?

Mark,
I just seen your drag race video. Have you ever had a uncontrollable urge to PHONE HOME?

The inertia device still functions. In some cars if you pull the belt all the way out to it's endpoint the gears I removed make the belt like a one way ratchet strap. I think its so you can use the belt to secure cargo or a baby seat. Because when my belt was let all the way back in, it wasn't as far as it was designed to be let in, and didn't unlock the ratchet part.

I put the 'cone bolt' into the hole, threaded it out just a bit, fitted the plastic sail panel and being sure the plastic panel was in the exact finished postition I gave the plastic a good thump with the palm of my hand over where the cone bolt was. The cone will stamp a dimple into the back of the plastic and act as a perfect guide to drill a matching hole in the plastic panel.
Nice idea for a transfer punch

How good is the fuel tank working because I'm looking to do a inline fuel pump into my 79 Firebird, I put a LS1 engine in it so if you could hit me back and let me know.
Thanks
Rich

I ended up re-doing the fuel tank with baffles and different mounts but only because 1 pump failed for no apparent reason. It's still working fine and never cavitates or runs dry even when driving hard on low fuel. It's way easier to run an inline pump externally if you are not running a super high flow system (say 600hp plus) and the new inline pumps are pretty quiet.

I've been driving the Camaro pretty much every sunny day and my transmission sounds like it's going to blow up soon. Anyone reading this thread have any personal experience on T56 upgrades?

Sadly, no. But I talked to an LS-based shop here in the valley asking about damaged T56s to rebuild (because I love **** like that), and they advised me that some parts (gearsets especially) can be costly. I forgot- you're running an f-body trans, right?

Edit: Found a thread (below) with some good ideas. On the phone in the garage, so I can't embed the link. Also, I vote you have it faceplated, for no reason other than because faceplating.

Tick Performance and the "Viper" upgraded output. Seem to be reputable as they were who built my engine.

My t56 is actually a M12 out of a GTO. I started with a Fbody T56, but ended up with a M12. I'd really like a sequential gearbox....

It appears I've planted the seed, he's talking to Quaife.....

Let's see some support for him to sequentially-trans up his beast!

Sequential trans would be amazing! Probably would still be as fun as driving a normal manual trans too.

And if your considering a sequential trans, check this out! Now you can convert your T56 over!

The sound of turbos combined with a sequential trans would be too much for me to handle, I would need a towel.

It's true... I'm looking into a sequential... That MTI unit looks good but so far no pricing and it's corvette only... The quaife is do-able, over $12k though, so I need to sell some of my other toys to pay for it...

Isn't the deal with Vette/Fbody T56's that you just swap bellhousing/tailhousing to convert from tunnel/diff Vette trans to regular trans?

I think it's a different output shaft too.

I thought it said vette/camaro, I figured they offered it for both.
