i am going to show my manifold i have been working on, bastardized deal

cylinder distribution is the goal, if you have seen some of the turbo indy stuff or rally cars you have see stuff like this

i started with a knockoff of the precision SME intake

all that internal BS will be fixed, ram tubes added to runner enty and a much bigger plenum top added

So since im not up to speed on indy/rally setups. Can you explain a little what the function of the funnel is doing to help cylinder equalization?

Is it purely just somehow changing airflow/velocity?

I just am curious. Thanks

So the throttle body will be mounted to the end of the conical section, and the large plenum above will have blank ends on it, right?

Cool! This intake manifold concept was used by some of the old Group B rally cars when they had crazy power from really high boost, right?

Are you routing the charge pipe through the firewall because you are going to be running an A2W intercooler inside the cabin now? (Or just because it will be hilarious that people won't be able to see where your intake air is coming from?)

This thing is getting nuts!

Here is the new cam. I spec'd it.

I am using very mild lobes, I want it durable long term and happy at high rpm

HUC intake lobe, extreme RPM exhaust

EVO is aggressive, overlap is low, IVC I put where i think the intake will want for the intended rpm

Still will idle great and pull alot of vacuum

That's a fun looking cam! What RPM range are you looking to operate in?

Also, do you know if there is any similarity between that cam (or the lobes you spec'd for it) and the one Jackson was/is running in that destroked high RPM screamer he built? I guess he used the LSL lobes, and then in the current engine maybe he has the QXI/QXX lobes...

Yeah I am not familiar with Jacksons build. These are for sure tamer than an lsl, not sure on the gxx stuff

I have a big old stainless intake that I have to keep from misbehaving haha

I'd like it to peak upper 6 and hold well mid to upper 7k

with the nice new motor i am building i figured i better go to a system that has safeties i can use for shutdown. I picked up a holley HP with new wideband sensor for 750, i sold my hpt with ecu for 350, so it is a no brainer.

did all the harness work, there is zero splices in the harness or extra length, crimped and soldered. shielded cam, crank and wideband

most the sensors are in the car now, only things that go forward are my cam, coolant temp, FP in one lead. injectors. and crank sensor. only wiring that will be clearly visible is injector harness

start off with correct holley connectors for a couple bucks

crimp and solder ecu pins

just showing progression of a connector, this is a shielded crank sensor

shielded wideband run

all my various input/outputs here

[font=Verdana][size=78%]

here it is complete, all short stuff up top stays in as does the coil leads

thank you

worked on some small stuff

i have plans for a little different head coolant port layout

this is the start

don t like the adapters that can be bought, get too tall. Want it low and clean

So i found some -3 Stainless bungs.

had to turn them in a lathe a bit, like the turnout though
