coolest coil covers ever
Hopefully this isn't a repost. I saw these on a first gen camaro at the Springfield stop of power tour. I thought that it was the best idea for hiding the coils. it looked like there was an aluminum bracket bolted to the valve cover and then the old style valve cover bolted to that. just thought I would share.

I saw some billet covers kinda like that that bolted ontop of a billet valve cover and had the wires coming out like that. Kinda cool.
On another note, those are the coolest stock valve covers Chevy ever made!!

So would covering the coils like this cut down on coil life ?
seems like it would keep engine heat surrounding the coils ? Would that reduce the lie in the long run?
Would definately be a sweet looking set up with more modern covers!

They need to make a low to mid range rpm intake for the 4bbl style TB's. The Victor style intakes are a little to big for the mild applications where mid-range torque is king.

The guy that made them is my childhood best friend. He is a machinest by trade and came up with the idea a while ago, just got it into play recently. ******, got to go on the power tour and got a shameless plug for his cool covers, while I am stuck with my nose to the grindstone. He sent me an email this morning saying loaded down running 80 mph he was getting 25mpg.

I need some of those made out of Cadillac valve covers! A great idea. They would look pretty cool on my stroker LQ9 with it's carb intake and big throttle body. I'm thinking of hiding the coils somewhere. I even plan on painting the engine 1950's Cadillac blue.
I'n not trying to fool anyone, I just want it to look like a Cad!!
