well got new "used" 5.3 in the chevelle.. oil pressure never goes under 40 psi, has even been up to 80 psi.. happy to see that, lil slower than the ls1, but now it sit lower and more even,not bull doggin,. rides nicer, single turbo in the future.. couple of months..i'll keep it updated. i have a turbo off a old city bus.. had a super charger and a turbo tht i now have. it was on a 700ci + diesel, could i rebuild it to work with my set up.?.. i will post it up in the turbo section..

yea i picked up the 5.3 in a junk yard, sparkplugs were out of it for a month or two ,and some sand in intake, vacumed intake ,fire right up..not bad $250 plus tax.. complete.

ok heres an update...
5.3 in there running.. swap heads for 853's with crane cams valve springs and 3 angle valve job.. should flow a lil more and lower comp to 9.0 to 1,, swap to a ls6 cam.. drove it.. loss torque bottom end, gain a lil top end.. not a whole lot,cause drop compreesion.. but it's now boost ready again. with arp head bolts.. $185 worth of 14 gauge 2.5" piping and t4 flange etc on its way... i need a waste gate and a turbo.. if any one has one they want to give me
i will glady take it.. just kidding i will give you money for it.. looking for a mp t70,,cause cheaper price, or if i can find good deal on a lil bigger turbo would be nice.. i dont want to spend over 650 for a turbo..
