I would have to say that when I get my motor going it will perform better with a carb than with efi. Only because I don't know any tuners around here that could do what I want performance wise. And efi has a steeper learning curve for me because im already a carb guy.

What is the hold up, Admins? It's not that difficult to add a section. Don't make me hack your site and add one myself

having some what i guess u could call arguments on another gm board, about how lsx and carbs are not supposed to go togehter.
but im surprised how some ppl are so quick to dismiss something,
and with no real first hand exp. but with personal emotion or hearsay.
no actual hard facts to support there opinions or arguments

People fear the unknown. for some, the unknown is fuel injection, for others, it is carb.

Real gearheads appreciate them both and know they both serve a purpose.

For me, I like them both, but prefer a Carb and I know why. I have a CIS degree and worked for Boeing as a Network Manager. I am so sick of computers and the last thing I want to do is pull my laptop out to tune my car.

Are you over on TTF with the same name?

Also to further your thought. I find it kinda odd that all the gm crate motors that are carbed usually make more power than their fuel injected counterparts. With all the same internals...

im guessing if you run the carbed setup with the msd -6010 box, you do not need the computer and wiring harness?

adapter fittings are available that allow the use of conventional sbc type sensors for water temp and oil psi. they screw in place of ls1 sensor and the a sbc type sensor can be used. for autometer, stock mech. gages and such

not needed, only need a carb, msd box, coil packs, if your car was tpi, u can use stock intank efi pump with aeromotive fpr that reg. efi psi down to low carb. pressure, and larger return line.
im building carb 3rd also.
working on a serp. system for use in 3rd gens.
will allow use or delete of power steering

ok that is what it thought from the info that I have been putting together. My car is a 1985 camaro with the 2.8l in it. I got the whole car for $100 and thought it would be a great donor car to put in a lsx swap. I am trying to decide if I want to do a 5.3, carb'd twin turbo set up on it, but I don't know how much power i could expect out of the 5.3. i am on a budget tighter than frog's *** in deep water. i was looking at running an ebay turbo set up. I know they are not the greatest but would be a decent platform to start with and can upgrade as I go along.
