Thanks for the compliment but HAH... I feel like I'm the one piddling around in comparison to the progress made on, say, Marktainium's car... at least I get to reap the benefits of passenger rides in a local turbo LS musclecar

Stealth:

Took the wastegate to a Scotchbrite wheel to make it look a little less very-used:

I like the black piping! Now to get it all back together and do a test fire.

You need to de-polish the compressor housing like the waste gate, and the bov too!

Can't bring myself to do that to brand-spanking new parts. I'll claim "laziness"!

Some stainless heat shields for protection in areas near aluminum or plastic...

Looks great. It's really come a long way since your initial posts. Plenty of work still to do I'm sure, but now's a good time to stand back and admire!

i'm just picking nits here, but that fabbed idler should be coated/anodized black to match the rest of the pulley setup. that's really my only critique thus far.

Might be able to satisfy your nit-pickiness if I decide to hard ano the gauge clutser panel, regardless the idler will end up hidden below the throttlebody & piping. We shall see.....

I have a complaint! Your not over here working on my car! Damn fine job so far! Oh and buy your self some tape to cover the intake ports! You taped up the water outlets and have left the intake ports wide open. Damn what a screw, nut or bolt does to a piston! I know this from experience. Well I know this from someone else helping the racecar out while we had our backs turned!!!

Okok to set the record straight, the valley cover/heads always have a thick piece of cardboard & newspaper covering everything, I just take it off for the pics to make the engine seem a little less messy

I figured as much! As meticulous as you are I couldn't see you leaving the ports open. Just yanking your chain.

So all BS aside are you going to be able to out run Marktainium's car? I seen his vid and it seems pretty fast as is.

He has it stroked to 6.6L with 8.5:1 compression to my stock 6.0L & 9.4:1, and I'll be running 8-10psi to his 12 (let's be honest, probably 15psi), but I bet his car is in the 3400-3500 range and mine will probably be 3200 all said and done. I hate bench racing, so we'll just have to wait and see. He'll likely take it every time though.

I say as good as you are with metal, make and all aluminum body and reduce the weight down, you will surely win! Sounds good anyways. Throw some felt nails out on his side of the track and you will win! If ya aint cheatin you aint trying!!! BB's work good too! I say methanol injection and turn the psi on up. Doesnt a single turbo spool up faster and has less lag if properly sized? I am not a boost kind a fella just know what I read. Did you guys read the new Hot Rod mag about the 4.8 with twin 76mm's on it. 1,203 hp and 60 pulls and it is still alive on a stock bottom end. They did open the ring gaps up to .025 and ported the heads everything else was mere bolt ons. Now thats amazing!!!!

I really do want to axe some weight with this car, it'll improve everything. Contemplated fiberglass bumpers painted flat black, would have to black out all the rest of the trim on the car then. Hood is way too heavy, and fiberglass hoods don't reduce weight all that much considering their cost... however I do have a friend with 2 years experience laying up carbon fiber Must drive it around a bunch first tho.
