Will a drive shaft out of 98-02 Fbody work on 67 camaro?

Edit: Should I shorten my drive shaft or use a 4th gen on a LSX 67 camaro?
I am doing a LQ9 swap plus t56 into my 67 camaro. Will a drive shaft out of 98-02 Fbody work?

Thanks for the replies and help. I purchased a drive shaft out of a 99 Fbody but I haven't saved enough $ for my LQ9/t56 yet. I know that I will need to use a shortened drive shaft for this combo. Has anyone tried this before or is this drive shaft too short/long? Thanks.

I think the the 4th gen shaft is around 41", so you'd have to replace the tube... not a big deal, but the 4th gen also has the wrong ujoint size for your rear end.

If it's like the F-body, BRP moves the engine forward something like 2 inches compared to an SBC. If you moved it back an inch, your 700R4 driveshaft should be close to an inch too short.

Well the math you have there works roughly but you also have to take into account the fact that the relation of the crankshaft flange to the bellhousing flange on a LS engine is different than a sbc. If you are using a 4l60 then the tranny would in fact be moved forward a bit because of this.

There is no way the driveshaft fits. I checked it out. From what i ordered i think my driveshaft was 48" and i think a 4th gens is only like 44" or something. I used a Dennys nitrous ready drive shaft with 1350 u joints and a 30 spline shaft and got it for like $500 with a lifetime warranty.

Just for the info...I paid $206 for a modified used drive shaft.
This was for my A body LS1/4L60E swap
I provided a TH350 yoke, the shop provided the used but nice condition shaft, installed the yoke to proper length, installed new U-joints and balanced the unit.
I've still got the aluminum drive shaft from the 02 WS6 donor. Is that worth anything to anyone?
