Default Idler pulley relocation brackets back in stock

We just got a new batch of the idler pulley relocation brackets in.

These are for the LS1/LS6 intakes swapped onto the Vortec truck engines (4.8, 5.3, 6.0).

The brackets are $85 each plus shipping. We've had some problems keeping these in stock, so get 'em while we got 'em!

Default Look at the throttle body

Check the relationship of the throttle body to the H2O pump pulley in the last two photos.

The truck intake locates the throttle body much higher than the passenger intakes do.

When you move the TB down the belt (idler pulley) must be relocated slightly to allow the belt to clear. That is, if you want to keep the stock truck alternator mounting.

As stated above, when you install the lower intake manifold (LS1/LS6/Fast) the throttle body will hit the idler pulley if it is not relocated.

Our custom bracket gets the pulley out of the way. Most of the truck guys that are making the intake swap don't want to change the whole bracket set, so this lets you keep the alt., A/C, etc.

Do you sell brackets for a Sanden 508 A/C compressor to mount high on the passenger side and if so how much?

No, can't help you on that. This is the only bracket we carry.

All sold out again.

I'll get some more made. It takes a while for them to come in, but well get 'em.

Thanks.

Hi,

i just ordered l92 heads for my lq4 6.0, im guessing ill need the clearance for using the ls3/l76 intake manifold. i pulled the stock belt over to about the position in your pic and it looks a little short. does stock belt work or is there a longer one you need? do you have stock of the bracket again?

Using this bracket does require a longer belt.

We don't have the brackets back in stock yet. I'll post here when we do.

John was wondering if you have your 91 Z up and running?

Yes, it's up and running. I don't get much time to play with it it, but it's running fine.

More upgrades planned for the near future!

I see the two water pumps are different. What is the replacement water pump in the pic with the car manifold? And was a pulley change needed?

Thanks!

the pulley is the same on the truck or car WP, so you do not need to change it, just need to get a car WP.

I kind of thought so. So what is the pump and pulley application in this pic?
