My 72 Chevelle w/LS1,4L60(56K Warning!)
I wish I would have made a build thread to document the conversion, but didnt. I did get TONS of info from threads posted on here and could not have done it without a lot of you guys that have done it. If ya have any questions feel free to ask. Anyway, here are some pics of the car before and after:

Damn... that car is sweet!!!! Great job! Paint looks nice. Good execution! I always liked those early 70s Chevelles. I dont think ide turn one down if I found one and was in the market.
Have you driven it yet? How's she feel? Got anything done to the motor besides the obviously bolt on stuff?

lol, i did do a hellacious burnout the first time i drove it out of the shop, when ya do something like that its expected of you. LoL you are right about the pics...although i can say that i learned a lot from some of your posts while i was doing it.

Glad to help and that someone learned something from my many bonehead mistakes !LOL.
lol, trust me when i say i made plenty too. you all just didnt get to see them because i didnt do a build thread. one of my best was hackin on the factory engine harness from the ls1 for some extra wire i needed because i had bought a new one, well now i have a camaro that I am doing an ls1 conversion from a v6 and i need that harness...lol...they aint cheap on ebay either. ah well, live and learn
great job i am thinking about doing the same thing to my 68 Chevelle i just wish it looks as good as yours when i am done with it.
i hope you don't but i am going to beat up your PM box with stupid questions

very nice. if my chevelle wasnt #'s matching, i would prolly consider doing an ls1 swap as well.
i just put those 71-72 ss wheels on my car so otherwise I would have totally been asking about the status on those...they are hard to find.

Yea I sold those shortly after the paint work and damn near paid for the new set of torque thrusts. lol
