LS6 Transplant in WS6

I will be transplanting a '03 LS6 into my '00 WS6. The only LS1 part is a SLP MAF. LS6 intake and injectors on the long block. Anyways, anyone been there, did that? Any sensors on the ZO6 motor I may want to use not on the WS6 motor? Reprogramming? Any help is appreciated. Thankx

I know that the LS6 doesnt use the EGR or AIR systems, if that makes any difference to you.

ask SSpray, he has a ls6 motor in his ws6.

That is one thing. The '03 LS6 intake manifold does not have EGR provision, so what would be the fix?

Get a blockoff plate and you'll have to tune the computer. I know that EDIT can get rid of the EGR provision on the computer.

are you just doing an engine swap or the whole computer, wire, harness, ect.

if your still using the ls1 pcm with the egr codes just have them deleted and install some block off plates for the headers or you can get LT w/o emmission provisions.

Just the motor is LS6, the rest is LS1. I'll be getting the block off for the exhaust manifold, but it looks like I'll need a PCM EGR delete? Thankx ya'll.

i think he's referring to the air pump. i had mine deleted and the EGR deleted when i had my LS6 put on

not to hijack but does an ls6 just bolt right in to our cars? I was thinking of doing this as opposed to heads cam on my stock motor, although i know its more pricey...

I'm an LT1 guy, but I thought the LS6 was just an intake and internals change? So unless you're block it shot, or you're getting a good deal, couldn't you just build a better motor from your LS1?
