I was wondering if anyone has done this before. i am going to attempt this on my coupe trans am. i want it to hang over a little bit. this one looks like it hangs way too far out. also the aerodynamics of it seems like it would make the car uplift more at high speeds due to the angle. that's the whole point of the spoiler right? downforce? i will attempt mine soon and will post some pics up but i am going to angle it with a little bit more downforce and give it some more height due to the angle of the trunk lid.

Guys, you do know that someone else already made a 'add-on' high-rise wing.
It was available back in '95, as when I bought my T-Top T/A I originally wanted a convertible, but after finding out you could only get the low-rise wing I was so disappointed, so I just ordered a t-top car.
Well, after I took delivery, about two months later I saw the add-on wing for the stock low-rise one. It was a really nice design, and for the life of me I cannot remember who made it.
At the time they only sold about 10-15 of the wings because they soon got a threatening letter from GM that they have copied thier works and to cease and decist. They complied and didn't ship the last 2-3 hoods on order. I now because I actually ordered one and planned on trading my new T/A in on a convertible. After the wing got canceled I gave up on the idea and have been happy with my T/A ever since... I did eventually get a 'vert, but it is a '95 Z28, not a T/A (but I do have real SS spoiler to go on that one)...
Maybe someone can do some research and find out if the company that originally made the wing would be interested in making it again, especially seeing as how these cars are out of production.
I'll see if I can go through some of my old car mags and see if I can come up with teh manufacturer, but don't hold your breath.

Well Ironically this project has taken another twist. The Fiberglass guy is unreachable, not sure if he got laid off or what, but emails get rejected and VM is always full!!!
But I may have a solution to have the other company do it after all since I can get a Vert trucklid they can mess with. So it should be back on track very shortly.

i will tell you now the make or break on you selling these will be price. honestly no company has ever sold ram air hoods for a legit price. a company would make a lot more if for once they remember selling in volumes at lower prices can bring in more money than selling only a handful at high prices. id def want one if it looks close to a ws6 wing or atleast better than our stock trunk lids.

So take that number and figure 10% are being modified (sound low but in reality very likely) Why do you think most Mfg. have ignored the vehicle? Costs have to be recouped.
What is too much for a hood?

Also I have the first WS9 hood they produced (it was test fit on my car and will be installed in April) for the same price.
The more I see it the more I want to see it done. Everything takes longer then my patience, but it will get done.

Sorry guys, this went on the backburner for a few months there. I just got done with LA Invasion and am back on business.
Good thing for the bump the project got lost on the back burner but I gave it the cutom fiberglass guy another try and luckily he picked up, so we are back in business! Next week he is going to come take a look at it and see what all needs to be done.![Grin](https://ls1tech.com/forums/images/smilies/LS1Tech/gr_grin.gif)
Thanks for the bump. jogged the memory.

Here is a glimpse of what has kept me busy http://losangelesinvasion.com/Invasion2009.html
Also here is another project that we are considering, although this would apply to all F bodies lets see what you guys think of a diffuser.
