Default Rear shock removal

Is there a thread on how to replace the rear shocks on our convertibles? I found one on another web site but that was for a coupe.

Dunno; the only trick is, you have to find the slits
in the back-wall carpet that clue you in to the
location of the shock, finish the job neatly with a
carpet knife, pull out the foam "biscuits" and there
you go.

Just found this out myself. Suckers were hidden compared to the coupes.

Still haven't looked yet...can you access them with the top down or does the top have to be up? And can you elaborate a little on where they are and the best way to get at them? Thanks for the help!

Top can be down,& w/back seat down Just look close at carpet and on each side there's a preforated line
cut w/razor knife & remove small foam piece , there you will find top shock mount.

you don't need to cut anything. just pull the carpet out from behind the corresponding plastic side cover things (the rear speaker covers whatchyamacallits) and then the carpet covering the area where the top folds down. just pull. pull out donuts. grab an impact and i think a 15mm? either a 15 mm or a 1/2" and get to crankin.

All done! Thanks for the replies
I did cut the carpet in the preforated area...i have the Koni adjustables so i wanted to have quick access to them. I did stick on some velcro tape to keep the cut area down...can't even tell there is a cut there

:-) sweet. bust out the camera!

did you change up the front?

i think the best single mod i've done on my car is puttin adjustables all around. the front just lifts...and stays up there.

the adjustable rears helped with rear hop too.

Took it out this evening
I bought a set of 4x4 Koni's from strano...i did the 3/4" lower perch on the front and the hose mod for the rear. I also put on Strano hollow sway bars 35/22. In addition i put on a set of ARH headers w/catted y-pipe,a LVL II Performabuilt tranny w/3000 billet stall along with a set of Nitto NT05 295x35x18 on the rear, i took off the asr and the car never broke loose...all the power went to the ground and forward. I live 5 miles from New England Dragway, so off to see what my garage queen can do?
The car does seem to have much better road manners, i need a little time to get a real feel.
