Custom is nice and all, but as nice as Wolfe cages are why go to the extra expense

I just hate that shipping is 2/3 of what it freaking cost.

Ahhh good point! I haven't priced a cage in a while, but I do recall Wolfe's cages be cheaper than what I found for a custom, but I don't recall if I accounted for the shipping.

To bad I don't live a little closer. I have a Wolfe mild steel weld-in with swing outs on both sides that's been sitting in my back room for about a year or two. I really don't think I'm going to install it.

Had not really give any thought to a long distance sell as shipping cost so much.

Damn! You're WAY into La., lol... Is it still in the box? How big and heavy? I shipped a bumper via Greyhound Bus and that thing was all kinds of big, but light. I have a buddy that works at AutoZone, I wonder if I can get him to ship it!? Years ago I had a buddy who worked at Discount Auto and I had my engine shipped there. do you know anyone at an AutoZone?

Theres a company called Engine Shippers Direct that may be able to ship it as well. Really great guys to deal with. I had my motor shipped from Ft Worth to NC for $225.00.

I think this is them: http://www.engineshipping.com/html/faq.html

or you can try www.uship.com as well.

Wolfe. But, if you plan on ever going to more than a 6-point, go custom off the bat. I had to get creative when making my Wolfe 6 point to a 12 point.

As you wish...you can see the "bump" I had to make on the driver's side so that the halo would clear my head...I'm 6'1" and that Kirkey is mounted on the floor:

The Wolfe 6-pt is about 2 inches lower than it COULD/SHOULD be and still clear the top, but they obviously were playing it safe. You can put rollbar padding on it and still have over an inch of clearance.

WOW! Sad you had to ruin the look, but as long as it saves your life is what matters. Thanks for posting the pics Bro

Thanks for the pics.

Custom isn't a option around here. If I go custom then I will build it myself and weld it in. You can't even findsomeone to do a simple 3" dump around here let alone a cage that may need to save my life oneday.
