Good time for my Vert? Took my vert to the tack today and the best run of the day was a 13.7/101MPH with a bunch of 13.8's and even one 14.0 with the same MPH. The best 60ft I could get was a 2.1 and I had a 22mph head wind fighting me down the track, other then the wind it was a great day to be at the track with temps in the mid 60's. Mods are lid, p&p TB, Magnaflow catback, subframe connectors, and a strano 35mm front sway bar. I feel i could have done a lot better if i had tires (just have shitty riken raptor tires). But consedering the facts how do you guys think I did? Also, my car is a 98 with a A4 and 3.23 rear end.
with 3.73 gears, a 2800 converter, a SSRA cold air intake, and a handheld tune, I went 12.80 at 108mph. That's with a 2.25 60' due to street tires. It takes very little to make these cars run hard. With my cam, headers, and LS6 intake, I've gone 11.72 at 115 and there still feels like there's more left.
Headwind hurts a lot but sounds a bit right, if maybe a tad slow.
With a 700 DA in October I hit 13.76 in my LT1 with the same mods. Full weight car with 1/3 tank of gas as only weight reduction.

Your times match mine exactly when I took my car out mid-summer last year. It was completely stock, only difference is mine has the T56. I've done a few odds and ends to it but nothing major and haven't been to the track yet. I wouldn't expect any real gain until I mess with the tune. You can tune a stock LS1 and pull .4 off your time and add about 5 mph.
