This is my setup. 12" sub, 800 watt amp (seems to be under rated), and a capacitor mount off to the side over the spare tire. Spare tire is removed though. I designed and built the sub box/amp mount and the capacitor mount for my car so it should fit in any other 4th gen camaro.

Nice & clean.
Only option for convertibles until now is a generic box that would fit.

Only thing I would do different is keep the box height low as those side steps in the trunk well. If you know what I mean.

That way you can still keep something small in trunk if need be.

Now that my car isn't dd, I may do a carbon fiber enclosure in the spare tire area. Hmm

I am thinking of doing my setup differently and dropping the sub/amp lower into the trunk like you mentioned. For now the only thing I ever have in my trunk is the top cover and it doesn't seem to slide around any but no room left at all in the trunk when I do it. I am debating what I want to do still but if I do something new I will post pictures.

I just found out that production will resume on the custom speaker boxes in mid to late September. So, I plan to order two (two TA verts). Is anybody else interested?

Subthump makes a box for our cars. I got one for mine with two l7 solo's. I don't have it all finished so no good pics but it does fit nicely.

MOST of the sound of any trunk sub setup is lost when the top is down, known vert fact. Verts and trunk mounted subs are not friends.

That's what we did. The sub's are in the passenger delete box.

And no, the battery kill is not on there when driving it on the street!
