I saw a Sebring today with all four up and top down,
and also a Fox-body Mustang with the two rears up.

I never leave the glass up, cold or not, if the top is
down; that's what the heater is for. Isn't it?

I must admit though the heater works better when the windows are up. Like I said I tried it and it works but I looked like a wierdo.

in my 95 vert it was simply a matter of what i was doing that day. if i was going tork the windows were up and the top was down. as gay as that is the wind doesn't mess up your hair as bad and you don't feel beet up when you get there. however if i was just cruising to the lake or through town windows were down. i rarely put the top up so when it was chilly windows up heater works better. but i can still feel the air on my face while my body was warm. some want to drive and get a tan and not get beet by the wind. ok yeah looks gay but that is why.

I hate the look of the top down and windows up, it serves no purpose and looks retarded IMO.

Have you ever been in a convertible with the top down and the windows up on a cool night?

Personally, I drive my convertible to suit me, not others on the road. On really cool nights, it feels nice with the windows up and top down. And I'll enjoy it how I like it. That's why I bought a convertible!

Most ppl do it b/c they think it calms the noise down. I refuse to drop my top and have those windows up, in fact I have my windows down 90% of the time.

Actually if you read the posts by people that do it, it seems that 90% of the people do it to keep the heat in, and the other 10% I'm not even sure were sincere, but supposedly concerned about their hair, which windows up or down on these cars aren't real windy inside, but maybe if you had long hair?

Anyway, if my car was a garage queen then it might always have the windows down, buy I drive mine whenever I can (ie, the roads aren't sloppy) and put 20k miles on it last year between march and november, so plenty of cooler times where top down windows up is a great option. Unless you care too much what other people might think of you, instead of just doing things based on what YOU think is right for you.

Besides, it's only the touch of a button or three to put any or all up or down, it's not like it's stuck like that until I can pull over and stop.

I wouldn't worry about it too much Jay. If their that insecure with their public image, I don't think disputing anyones opinion here is going to get you very far.

The only time my windows are up and tops, T-tops that is, down is when i park the car to go to the store. I have never driven a vert until last month a Mercedes SLK280, I would have to say I always had everything down unless it was raining. wait a sec I drove it fully open on Thansgiving and I am in Boston. It does bother me when I see top down and windows up but pink cars, and stupid people that turn without a signal bothers me too. But hey to each his own preference top down windows1/2 down it is your car.

Ya, I used to own a pewter SS vert, for 3 years to be exact. It was my only vehicle at the time and the top was only up if I wasnt driving the car. Never once did I put the windows up with the top down, I hate the look.
