Why keep the windows up?

oh man that's a sad reason lol. I hope they upgraded the motors by 2002. I know my buddy had problems with his 2000 t/a window motors. They are notorious. Knock on wood, mine are like new after 70k+ miles now.

i think they're the same motor....no upgrades for '02. the motors are probably standard....but it's the gigantic windows of these cars that works them to failures. look at the windows in a convertible Mustang. it's got 4, so 4 motors....but much smaller and lighter glass to pull up & down.

I like my top down and my windows up so I dont mess up my hair....................oh wait I'm bald as Kojack so retract that statement lol. Anyways I live in NC so during spring and summer the top/windows are down. To each their own with their cars.
top down=windows down. Exceptions -
1) cell phone calls
2) when the gas pedal "gets stuck" to the floor for an extended amount of time. Still windy at 140mph but worse if the windows are down.
Driver Window motor went out at 9000 miles. passenger side at 13200 miles. Anytime I drive anywhere the top and windows go down........
